Michigan vs. Notre Dame: Who will be 0-3?

They can both wallow in the mud; I have nothing but contempt for either team.

Having said that, I hate ND more and think they suck worse and smellier pond scum than MI.

MI 13, ND 3

Lloyd Carr is betting his job on beating ND…

Well, my Dad went to Ann Arbor for graduate school (Aerospace Engineering, in case anyone is wondering; in other words, he’s a Rocket Scientist! :D), so that makes me a Wolverines fan by proxy.

Good thing I have the University of Florida (my alma mater) to fall back on in case the Wolverines embarrass themselves.

Still, Go Blue! pumps fist

Well, it’s just plain ridiculous that he’s on like three X-Men teams and the Avengers…

Wait, what?

Actually, what I find amusing is the absolute conviction that Michigan fans have that their team is going to win the Big-10.

I’m looking for a 2-2 tie.

Michigan will win because ND doesn’t play a spread offense like App St. and Oregon…and ND sucks.

I went to Michigan (grad, though, not undergrad). I loathe Michigan. I’m from Ohio, to boot. So I’m pulling for Notre Dame.

But Michigan will win the “Who Gives a Crap” bowl.

How tough is the Michigan defense?

So’s Ivylad. This game is a bit of a train wreck isn’t it? You can’t not watch the horror.

I think he wants ND to win, if for no other reason to see Michigan humiliated.

I-O!!

[sub]I couldn’t leave you hangin’ like that.[/sub]

By the way, that is mighty funny. I especially liked the admissions page for the University of Minnesota.
dnooman, that doesn’t count. It’s not consecutive, and therefore, is ruled gay.

I’d come back with a witty retort, but I feel sorry for you guys, so I’ll refrain. Except of course during the week of the OSU Meechigan game, when I will be laughing before, during, and after the game.

For the record, I like seeing the Michigan teams win. It goes 1A: Michigan 1B: Michigan State, the rest of the Big Ten, Ohio State, everyone else in the nation, USC, then Notre Dame.
Besides, you know for as shitty as Michigan has played, the Ohio State/Michigan game, much like the Michigan/Michigan State game will almost always be close.

Michigan is facing the weakest OSU team that they’ve seen in quite a while. I’ll not argue that the game won’t be close, it usually is a pretty damn good game. However, Michigan is winless, and looks like shit so far this year, OSU is undefeated so far, but only looks like slightly better shit than Michigan. We’ll see how injuries play out, as well as how each team reacts to their weaknesses in practice.

IMO, OSU has much more to worry about tomorrow than Michigan does. How sad is that? Michigan plays NDU, and OSU plays Washington, and OSU has the relatively tougher game.

I can’t even imagine if this was the last season for Lloyd Carr, Charlie Weiss, and Jo Pa. That would be worthy of a footnote in any decent history book, real history books, not sports ones.

It’s funny. I’ve seen the ESPN conversation boards where a lot of State (Michigan and Ohio) say that this is their wildest dream finally coming true, but now that it is, they’re not very happy with their adversary looking like this, with their coach looking so helpless.

Come on now, nobody in Michigan envisioned two losses in the first two games. Are these opinions coming after the two Michigan losses?

I doubt that the OSU MSU game will really matter anyways. Neither team is going to win the Big Ten, and a title is out of the question for both teams.

No, but hope springs eternal for Michigan State and Ohio State fans.

Perhaps with Penn State looking good this year, this is true. But I think MSU can have a very good year this year. Pitt and Notre Dame are looking like sure wins, so 4-0 going into Wisconsin is a good possibility. Wisconsin is beatable, nearly having lost to UNLV. Northwestern and Indiana are mere speed bumps. Ohio State is beatable this year. The game in Iowa could be a tough one. Michigan is beatable at home, and Purdue is beatable on the road. So MSU and PSU could be 11-0 going into the season finale. My dream is that one day THAT game will be the traditional ABC big game and the UM-OSU game gets the dreaded Pam Ward/ESPN2 treatment.

You kidding? There’s tons of it. I’ve spent the last few years hearing about how arrogant the wolverines and their fans are, and how much they’d love it if Michigan fell flat on their face.

I haven’t seen any absolute conviction. What I’ve seen is that sort of fingers crossed, more hope than anything “Well I ‘know’ that Michgan can still win the Big-10.” It’s not so much conviction as bloody but still unbowed optimism similar to what you would have heard from Detroit Lions fans a few years ago.

Edited to add my pick. I’ll go with Michigan. The Wolverines are bad, but still new enough to losing to be able to fight against it. For Notre Dame, losing has become a habit.
