I’m an Illinois alum, and the OSU game was not that close. 17-10 would imply parity, but it really wasn’t there.
Rutgers looked much worse vs. Illinois (yes I know…33-0) than did OSU, and the score didn’t reflect it.

Bo Schembechler has taken very ill. From what I’ve heard on the radio, it doesn’t look good. Even here in Spartan country, he’s a beloved figure. I hope he makes it.
Bo just died. What a sad day for Michigan and for college football.
This truly saddens me. I hope they have a moment of silence or some sort of recognition for him at the game.
It’ll take some of the fun out whooping the Wolverines tomorrow.

That is sad. He and Woody started this historic rivalry, and I’m sorry he didn’t live to see another game.
Maybe he and Woody will get a pick-up game going on The Other Side? 
He was well-loved even in Columbus. R.I.P.

Schembechler’s death will certainly add an interesting new angle to the media hype tomorrow.
It adds a sports-movie-esque motivational thing.
The only interesting thing that could happen to the media hype would be if it diminished, and no way that’s going to happen.
I start every Saturday in the fall by watching ESPN College GameDay…but tomorrow, I don’t know if I can face it. It was already going to be 95% Game of the Millennium; now it’ll be 90% GotM and 9% Remembering Bo.
Maybe they can squeeze Cal - USC into the remaining 1%.
I think it’s got something to do with “Scarlet Knights of the Raritan”. The school is located on the river’s banks. At least that’s what a Rutgers guy told me when they played Auburn several years ago.
