Ghan did cast Protection from Lightning on Gil-Gandel.
As he is an eagle he will take the opportunity to scout the area from above.
Then he will return to the Elendil change back to human and ask Gilraen if she needs help healing. He will also take the opportunity to pick up his items since he cannot use the pine martin shape again today.
Next he will save Deor’s lfe (!) by recovering the Wizard’s items (using his Protections from Lightning and Fire) - assuming the area is clear of enemy warriors.
His job now is to support Deor and Gilraen as a Caster.
Sir Thoroncir has no intention of touching the enemy wizard other than to ensure the mage is well and truly dead. Then he will ask any passing Sea-knight to lend him a horse, take to the saddle again and resume leading the attack, longsword in hand. Elendil!
Thoroncir is fortunate the mage is quite dead already and his spell was down. He cuts into the mages neck, but no beheading and he sees that battle waits. A Knight leads a spare horse to him to mount back up and a spare lance. Of course this means sadly somewhere a knight is at least out of action if not worse.
Mulligan turns invisible swiftly and hurries off, no idea where to find Rorimac now. Rorimac makes it to and across the ford as the men begin to cross. He is just ahead of them on the way back. He will be able to sneak inside without doing anything but being among them when it is time.
Bitur rejoins the fray and has the reassurance of his tough plate mail to protect him. He is swiftly back to destroying the foe. Gwaelur is loading and firing his magical crossbow with deadly accuracy. His +2 bolts increasing his chance of hitting and killing.
The nearby men are lifted by the defeat of the two leader types and the rallying call of Glinras. Gil-Gandel’s bow begins to pick apart the foes. Deor sees his message being relayed to near the mage and the wyvern.
Hraedsig has cleared the last of the ballistae on the left and an additional 12 knights have joined him. He sees the defenders are fleeing for the main part now. It appears the landing will be successful. Does Hraedsig strike for the ford or head up the dunes to where men are fleeing into the scrub. Here is the map again.
Ghân sees several things as he climbs up as does Deor through Folca. A large army is coming on from the East, the men fleeing are really fleeing. They are mostly heading East or South to the port.
Hraedsig ignores those feeling into the scrub and rallies his men for a charge into those fleeing to the main port. He wants to get them on the open ground where he has the advantage. Charge, men!
Rorimac will hope to stay ahead of the fleeing men and wait in the pre-arranged spot just down from the gate. However, if it looks like the gate is going to be shut, as it no doubt will be soon, he will sneak inside.
Mulligan will be heading for the main port now. Hopefully staying ahead of the fleeing defenders from the ballista area, but possibly in amongst the stragglers fleeing from this area. Hopefully, she can cross the ford before it gets too crowded, although she doesn’t want to leave a dripping trail on the far side of the river unless it can be covered up by other people’s footsteps. Aiming to meet at the pre-arranged spot and hoping the gate will still be open when she gets there.
Thoroncir will resume leading the attack and will, if possible on the chaotic battlefield, meet up with his fellow Sea-knights Aestirion, Orodreth and Pelendur to see that the heavy infantry is given the mounted support it needs.
Ghân will return to the ground, change back to human and ask Gilraen if she needs help healing. (He realises he can use any shape again today - for the third and final time.
Next he will save Deor’s life (!) by recovering the Wizard’s items (using his Protections from Lightning and Fire) - assuming the area is clear of enemy warriors. (They can be stored on the Elendil.)
His job now is to support Gil-Gandel as a Caster. (He will keep his last shape-change for emergencies.)
