Also the party needs to make some game decisions too. Where to go and what to do. Maybe get to a more central location, like Rivendell? Maybe solicit help? Whoever is near the machine will have the best chance to track Saruman.
I guess you missed my choosing Dispel Magic for my extra 3rd level. Or perhaps I have another choice or two that I need to make? Would my mentor have any useful spells? [Consider that an official request made to her directly]
A spell costs 50gp/lvl and takes 2hrs/lvl. Cost is material components you expend as you experiment with the spell to master it, as well as the fine inks you need to record it. Copies of your own cost only 1hr & 10gp/spell level.
So 150gp for 3rd levels. You have a decent share of gold from the Troll horde.
Currently you only have 75gp to your name.
I like the idea of using my newfound tool expertise to rebuild Grávund to incorporate the machine into it. It’ll be nice not to have the drag the machine around with us.
Anyway, for my two new known infusions:
Resistant Armor
Replicate Magic Item (Cloak of Elvenkind)
For my active infusions, I’ll maintain the infused shield and the replicated Alchemy Jug. And I will replicate a Cloak of Elvenkind (Which since it provides an advantage to stealth will cancel the disadvantage from my armor.)
Also, anyone in the party is welcome to borrow the Cloak if necessary, but it is an attuned item so it’s not readily shareable since they’ll have to spend a short rest to attune.
Also also, I’ll probably switch infusions between the Cloak and the Resistant Armor a decent amount. Resistant armor is a bit situational specific, and I do have absorb elements as a spell, so that mitigates the need to add elemental resistance to the armor, but having the ability to resist psychic, necrotic, or radiant damage is pretty sweet. If I know I’m going into an area crawling with undead, I’ll probably throw some necrotic resistance on the armor. (Of course, it requires attunement, so once again it’s got to be preplanned.)
Can’t be surprised Repair 3/d 2d8+3 to self or object w/in 5’. Reaction : Deflect att. Give disadv in 5’ if attacking anyone else.
Incorporates The machine (82.3lbs, 3’x2’octogon. Finest craftsmanship. Always accurate time, Adv Nav checks, can’t get dirty.
Always 64° except hot core is 238°. He definitely shows to anything with infrared vision now. 10’r any creatures aware of the item’s power get adv init; 1/dawn if spell focus, cast Slow Spell but get dry mouth. Must hold Grávund to do so. (Int base spell caster).
I’ve incorporated The Machine & My daughter noticed the To Hit/Dam & self repair were low by 1
For Sir Thoroncir I like the looks, pretty much equally, of Alert, Mobile or Sentinel. If you don’t have a strong recommendation among the three for me, WE, please just roll dice to select one.
And I’m fine with everyone seeing the Sea-knight’s new stats. Please note that he is now 22 years old.
Seeing the local Dwarves would waste a lot of time. No telepathy to them. Mirëgol can talk almost instantly to many in the Grey Havens & Rivendell and a few at Thranduil’s. But the only contact with Dwarves would be by messenger. Horse or perhaps birds.
As both I and MHaye thought it made sense and you have it in your 3. Lets go with Alert: +5 to initiative; cannot be surprised while conscious; creatures hidden from you don’t get advantage to attack you.
The 8 Characters just went out. Let me know is the Word Docx doesn’t work for anyone or if you don’t get it. There are internal hyperlinks to each character on every page.
