I usually hate improv but, you know, quarantine is making everything look more appealing lately. This is legit hilarious. I only watched the first of three “episodes,” but I laughed consistently for an hour.
So if anyone is in need of something to brighten their day for at least a little while, I’d highly recommend this show!
You need to listen to the Comedy Bang Bang podcast.
There’s also around 5 seasons of the Comedy Bang Bang TV show on Netflix. The TV show differed slightly from the podcast in that they did a scripted routine at the beginning, many of which I thought were hilarious. Then the rest of the TV show was identical to the podcast format-- Scott Aukerman interviewing fictional guest characters (played by real guests, like Middleditch) in an improv format. Scott loves asking more and more outlandish questions to see how the fake guests will “yes, and” them.
The first six minutes is chatting with the audience… and yeah, kind of making fun of them… makes me miss my in-person classes.
