Mike Judge cameo in Office Space?

Can anyone settle a bet?

In addition to playing Stan in Office Space, does Mike Judge also play “the nodding guy” in the interior crowd scenes at Initech?

Mike Judge is the boss at Chotchkes or whatever Jennifer Aniston’s restaurant is called. You know the 11-kinds-of-flair guy.

He’s credited as William King.

Oh didn’t see the Stan thing. My bad. Carry on. FWIW, he’s not credited in IMDb, which usually even lists uncredited performances.

Good point. IMDB does list Peter Jackson’s cameos in LoTR and all of Hitchcock’s cameos.

Absence of evidence does not lead one to conclude evidence of absence. Or something like that. Sometime tomorrow I’ll see if I can find the DVD and take myself a look.

I broke out my DVD and watched the scene in question, and I don’t think it’s him.

It’s him. If you watch the scene again, but close your eyes when he speaks, he sounds exactly like his Van Dreisen voice from Beavis & Butthead.

It’s him, huh-huh. Huh-huh.

Tripler
Huh-huh, you said “scene”. Huh-huh.

He also plays Donogan Giggles in at least two of the Spy Kids movies.

In Mike Judge’s IMDb entry, it’s listed. “Office Space (1999) (as William King) … Stan, Chotchkie’s Manager”

I think we’re agreed that “Stan,” Jennifer Aniston’s boss at Chotchkie’s, is Mike Judge. The character in dispute is the “nodding guy” in the front at Initech, when they’re all standing around being introduced to the first Bob. He doesn’t have any lines, he just stands there nodding – he’s a “yes man,” while everyone else there is internally rolling their eyes and updating their resumes.

I think they look like the same guy, but I’m not familiar enough with what Mike Judge looks like to know whether “nodding guy” is him.

I have no cite to back this up, but I saw an interview with Mike Judge shortly after Office Space became a cult hit of sorts and he admitted that he was not only the restaurant manager but the nodding guy in the office meeting.
