Still not happening, though, at least not successfully.
I wonder how Pence is going to deal with it when the only questions the media ever want him to answer are about Trump.
Pence has no real chance of being nominated. People who don’t like Trump might indelibly associate Pence with him despite Jan. 6, and people who do like Trump might consider him a traitor for upholding the law. This is independent of whatever experience and skills he may or may not possess.
Yeah, really. Never lost sleep over it.
Then again we can always consider this something of a thought puzzle: Mike Pence [what] in 2024?
People who like Trump already tried to murder Pence.
Not all of them, although that may have been due to lack of opportunity.
I’ve felt that way all along. He’s someone that the right wingers can accept as one of their own, but he is also someone who can say to the swing voters, “Hey, when it came down to it, I supported the Constitution and your democracy.” I consider him more dangerous than Trump, however, because he is far smarter and far more devious than Trump.
He doesn’t have the carnival barker pizazz that Trump carries. I don’t know how much the religious part would balance that out.
This is very true. It’s amazing how far theatrics and oily bullshit can carry one, isn’t it?
In America, hard work and talent can make dreams come true.
He doesn’t have the pizzaz of sand.
C’mon, man. What has sand ever done to you?
I don’t know about @running_coach, but I don’t like sand. It’s coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere. Actually a lot like Trump, now that I think about it.
It’s coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
Is there an echo in here?
Yep. Apparently I missed that.
Pence gets a boot in (about halfway down here):
I agree Pence has no real chance of getting the nomination but I feel there are some evangelicals who are or have become uncomfortable with Trump who would support a Pence run. I also think he would be a preferred choice for some of the more traditional Republicans, not that there appear to be many of them left in the party. It’s possible someone like Romney and maybe McConnell would prefer him over the others. But I don’t see this getting him above 15% or so of support in the primaries.
Oh, the headmovies…
DeSantis and tRump, fighting tooth and nail for the Republican nomination. After a protracted, bloody, disgusting battle, the loser (don’t know who it is yet) decides to go independent. Meanwhile, Pence, having correctly surmised he had no chance in hell of winning the GOP nom, has already gone third-party with a sizable backing of evangelicals who are trying to make up for backing tRump and want to get into heaven someday.
Meanwhile, Joe sleeps in till 8:30, munches on a croissant, and discusses how to redecorate the Oval Office for his second term.
The preceding prediction/hallucination was made possible by an entire bag of spice drops and donations from viewers like you.
There was recently a “Doonesbury” column where an insurrectionist says, “We meant to say ‘Hang WITH Mike Pence’!”
