(Mild) If I hear 'git-r-done' one more time, I'm setting fire to Larry the Cable Guy

‘s hat.
That, or ‘’-tell-you-what’.

God I’m so sick of this contrived asswipe and people who think he is funny.

You suck! And your jokes are lame!

How illiterate must one be to find this guy funny?

If I have to hear any of your shitty jokes and trademark lines from your mouth or someone else’s, I’m going to snatch the stupid-looking hat off your head and set it on fire!

There’s a Hitler show on over at the History Channel.

You’re wrong there. Larry is funny.

Or that long story about his sister and her moles that he tells at the end of The Blue Collar Comedy Tour.

Regards,
Shodan

Lord, I apologize…

Come on, that’s pretty funny!

Quick replies, but I submit that he is not funny. Any joke of his that even approaches ‘chuckle’ territory is derivative and lame.

I love how when one of his jokes falls flat, he stares for a second and then growls ‘git-r-done’, which always arouses laughter from his largely-illiterate audience.

Wait until June and tell him personally.

“Last night I picked up a midget prostitute and paid her eight dollars to go up on me. Now that’s funny. I don’t care who you are.”

Admittedly, some of it is kind of regional. Like it or not, but there are differences in what different groups of people consider funny. While he might not go over well in Silicon Valley, in Broken Arrow he’s humorizing real life. Sort of. Maybe.
He is the lamest of the Four Rednecks, tho. Ron White is God.

Don’t have a cow, man!

My favorite thing that I’ve learned about the guy is that he actually comes from an affluent background and went to a private school - the whole image is a complete fraud.

Nooo! Nonononono! Ron White is the guy they take along because he heard them make the plans and they can’t leave him out.

Anyway, my world would not be poorer if I’d never heard Larry, and I definitely prefer him in the cleaned up world of TV, but I do think he’s funny.

Larry seems like the type of person that Bill Engvall is making fun of in his “here’s your sign” routine.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Ron White is an overweight, chainsmoking, bloated, unhealthy-looking man. But he is one sexy motherfucker. I don’t care who you are. And he’s funny.

Larry- once in a while I get a chuckle out of him, but that could be because I’ve spent a good part of my life visiting or living in the South and half of my family was from or lived in the South. It can be a completely different world there. And the story about the sister with the moles was funny.

Try visiting Kentucky sometime. I swear that “Git-R-Done” is like the state motto.

Then again, this state contains women so fast that they had to put a governor on her.

Larry is my favorite out or the 4. Thank God that where I currently live I don’t have to listen to anyone say “git-r-done” unless I feel like turining on Comedy Central and listening to him. That would annoy the shit out of me. I was raised in the south, so I can imagine how bad it could git.

I was angrier than a legless Ethiopian watching a donut roll down a hill. That’s funny, I don’t care who you are.

Sorry, that’s just my favorite though.

You can submit all you like, if there is nothing there that you find amusing
… I think the problem lies in you, not him. While I don’t think he’s the greatest comic in the world, but I do find the humor there.

I’m an AA New Yorker living in the south and I like Larry the Cable Guy. The joke about shooting the horse (mentioned above) is my favorite. I’m not illiterate (nitpickers, please overlook any grammatical errors in this post), and don’t live in a trailer park. I still find him funny.

Jerry Seinfeld irks me almost as much as Dennis Miller these days.

Maybe you just don’t get the jokes. (smile please)

I’m with the OP on this. “Git-r-done” is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Every time I see the any of these self-proclaimed “rednecks” on TV, I can’t turn the channel fast enough. I know there’s peole who like this, and that’s fine, it’s not my thing though. Then again, I can’t stand any of the “redneck” or the “good ol’ boy” culture.
