I have pretty short hair. I have no history of baldness in my family, but let’s say I exposed just the crown top of my head to mild sun for years upon years, but my hair protected the rest of my scalp, would I develop baldness in the exposed portion from cell damage? Let’s say that that spot is always a little bit red from the sun.
So, is the answer yes? Could I have some affirmation on this statements credibility? I saw one other site that said that sun exposure didn’t get deep into the follicles because of the protection from hair, but what about people with really short hair? (I lost the other 3 sites I wanted to post :()
About how much sun exposure could cause enough damage to cause alopecia (is that the correct word?)?
