What’s funny is it seems to have taken less time for Miles to be shipped from Australia all the way to Ireland and returned than it took for him to be returned to NY from FL.

In Topeka Miles attended the 100th birthday party of my maternal grandmother. He got his picture taken with the birthday girl, in his top hat and tails. He went with me on the Audobon Society’s annual Christmas Bird Count, visited my Sunday School class. Miles charmed the little girls, but for privacy’s sake I didn’t take their picture with him.He visited the Kansas Museum of History, and helped open presents on Christmas Eve with my family I crocheted him a hat and scarf and mittens, and got him two pins for his vest, as well as putting his pictures on a CD.
