Time Warner Cable finally got ‘Enhanced Viewing’ in my area. Pretty cool. (They so rarely get things right.)
My coworker’s PET scan came back showing his tumor is almost completely dead…just a touch of cancer around the edges. He has two more chemo sessions scheduled, so we’re really optimistic.
Yay!

One of my sons is starting college this week, at near middle age. I’m so thrilled for him I don’t know what to do.
DirecTV finally added the HD version of BBC America. Yay for Doctor Who in HD!
I’ve been teaching a job/computer skills class at a women’s shelter since the beginning of the year. We take people from SAHM-who’s-never-worked to Office-Suite-PC-etc skilled and job-ready, if they can finish the entire course. After 8 months of effort, my class just finished and *over half of them have full time employment *and have moved from the shelter to their own apartments.
In January they started as scared, unemployed moms, often running with their kids. Today they’re going to work in new clothes and buying stuff for their kids and apartments. I’m so proud of them I could bust. I may have to violate smiley etiquette here (so sue me). :D:D:D
I sold a poem that I’ve been trying to sell for years, to a market I’ve never sold anything to before.
My digital camera seems to be broken alas. Miss Lucy Cat looks very much like the kitty pictured here. She’s a brown tabby and white with a black and brown back, white paws and a white belly.
Pretty. Please give her an extra snuggle from me.
I give her the hugs. My husband gives her the baths. This way I get the extra snuggles and he gets the dirty looks.
Well played.
I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance! Woo!
Since it’s been 3 years and 1 day since my at-fault accident, I called my insurance co. and asked them to lower my premiums. They did- by half!
::happy dance::
Do mini-tnars hide in labyr-ninths?
While going through a pile of papers today, I found a check from the state tax department for $112.00. Yay!
My wife and I have been getting my son ready to move into the dorms tomorrow for his freshman year of college, and it’s been going pretty smoothly so far.
Oh,and slightly less mini: we had some hail damage on the car, got the insurance guy to look at it, got a check. Planned to get just part of it repaired.
got a cracked windshield and took it in to get that and the hail damage fixed, and the new insurance adjuster decided we’d been lowballed on the original hail damage estimate. He got us nearly two grand more!
So that’s two good things that car insurance has done in one day? That might be the seventh sign.
The mole on my leg that has been worrying me turned out to be nothing worrisome at all.
The money that I am getting from the fact that our company was just sold is 7 times what I thought it would be.
Back in the black!
I found the perfect lamp for above my desk. I had to struggle with Paypal to pay for it (I need to update my name on there, and I hadn’t realized I hadn’t updated my address with the bank) but it’s on the way!
Now I just need to find one more lamp so my place will stop being such a dark cave.
A lot of these items do not sound mini at all.
This one especially. Not mini at all.
The local librarian said to me, “I know you! You’re the author!”
They have my book on order right now. They will call me and ask me to give a presentation on the book when it comes in.
YEAH!
