In this thread, NurseCarmen and I came up with a date, time and location for a DopeLunch.

Date: Friday, March 28th
Time: 11:00 AM (In order to avoid Friday lunch crowds.)
Location: Marketplace Restaurant, 1042 Nicollet Mall (I’m guessing on the address – it’s not in the book – but it’s directly to the left of Chipotle, located at 1040 Nicollet Mall). Map

I’ll be there a teence early with a sign that says SDMB.

Marketplace serves delicious, affordable soup, sandwiches, salads and pizza. Stand in line, order your food, pay and have a seat. A server will bring you your order at your table. The restaurant has a comfortable, casual ambiance with funky decor.

Is the marketplace have the same food as the one in the basement of Dayton’s? I might be doing the no carbo diet, and I need some options. If the food looks irresistable, I might take a day off the diet.

D’oh! I just registered in January, and I’ve been wondering if there were ever any Doper get-togethers in the Twin Cities. I’d love to be there, but I will be traveling on business on Friday the 28th. I’ll look for the next one.

I’m unemployed and I just got my tax returns. I might be able to make it. Will see.

I’ve never eaten the stuff in the basement of Marshall Fields (c’mon Carmen, it changed WAY over a year ago. :wink: ) but I hear it’s the same.
