Peyote, I head one of the announcers or refs say that there is no challenge on force-outs.
Probably because it’s so problematical – it’d take a physicist to figure out where those flying bodies are going to end up.

LOL I am kinda excited for Arizona.
Quit your crying the Cards upset the Packers as well this year at home, Hell, all their wins are at home (Green bay,San Fran, Cinncinati and well you guys
Arizona also played till the final buzzer against the Rams and the Panthers at home.
lets look at who did beat the cards this year
Detroit by 18 points (away)
Seatle by 38 points (home)
St louis by 24 points (away)
Dallas by 17 points (away)
Baltimore by 8 points (home)
Pittsburg by 13 points (away)
Cleveland by 38 points (away)
Chcago by 25 points (away)
San fransisco 36 points (away)
Seatle by 18 points (away)
All these teams can and did beat the Cards like little children.
The Vikings got a bit to cocky and paid for it!
Way to go Coach Mac, hope your next team is a better one!
>could not the Vikings have challenged the call
You can’t challenge calls inside the two minute warning.
No the Vikings could not challenge the call. No team can challenge a call in the last 2 minutes. Questionable calls are automatically reviewed (in theory)
The call was put under review, to make sure the WR Poole retained possession of the ball.
Yeah, I saw it, but I was so ecstatically happy that the Vikings lost and the Packers are in that I don’t know if I’m an impartial judge. But, assuming for a second that I am, one of the guy’s feet landed inbounds and the defender obviously had his hand on him, pushing him out. I don’t see how the call could have gone down any other way, really.
Well, don’t worry too much, because it’s not like the Packers have been playing like a Super Bowl team at all this year (not counting that game against Oakland, but, come on, it’s Oakland), so they’ll be out after next week or, at the outside, the week after.
Yep, the call was challenged by the replay referee, it was reviewed and the call stood as called on the field. Again, it’s time to stop acting like a baby.
The Vikes also lost to two other four win teams this year (Chargers and Raiders). If you can’t beat Arizona, Oakland and San Diego, you don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.
Haj
I was talking about that just yesterday, how the Vikings play to level of their opponent. They really don’t deserve to make the playoffs.
If they did win this game, it would only have set up a first round exit from the playoffs.
Hell, that’s what we got the Timberwolves for.
[sub]Although KG is having an MVP season, so that may change.[/sub]
I saw it.
We were waiting for the SImpsons.
Amazing.
Last second win!
Whatever…at least my Seahawks are in!
As a long suffering Vikes fan, I must say: hadn’t they fucked up through the whole damn game, the last second td wouldn’t have mattered. True, I kinda think he woulda landed out of bounds, he was ever so slightly pushed out of bounds. The refs couldn’t say if he woulda landed in or not, not with out the staff physisist stepping and making the call. They missed a field goal. They chose a fucked up running play in an obvious qb sneak situation. They chose a pass play on fourth down. Denard Walker chose to blatently interfere. Dante fumbled. Again. They gave up on the run game when they were down by three. Linehan put together yet another shitty game plan against yet another shitty team. Man, do I have to go on? The team that showed up today wasn’t the team we saw last week. It’s obvious that some coaching changes need to be considered. How a team can look both like last weeks then this week’s needs to be adressed. I don’t doubt McCombs will make some rash and ill informed moves in the days to come. I just hope he doesn’t bring back Denny.
Let’s not forget that had the Vikes kicked the field goal in the first quarter instead of the ego-booting go-for-it, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.
Remember McCombs’ rant after the Giants loss? Wonder what he did today. Go San Antonio Vikings!
still laughing
Oh, that one handed catch by Moss? Amazing
But what do you think of the Packers?
(inside joke! )
It’s the Curse, I tell you! Check it in the Bible Code, see where it intercepts" “Vikings” and “turnover” and “screw the pooch”! The Curse! Not so kind as to crush your hopes early on, but always the shimmering prize is within reach, within grasp…to be snatched away by fluke, like a bully taking your lunch money.
The Curse is some serious bad mojo, quite beyond the powers of any granola-powered Wiccan coven. To undo this much evil ectoplasm requires weapons grade hoodoo, the big stuff.
We must make sacrifice on the Capital steps, beneath the Golden Idols. Let the steps run red awash with blood of Republican virgins, then shall The Curse be lifted, and the home team go forth to rend the Packers asunder!
(Unless this might violate the Wishing Death rule, in which case I suppose they can both give a pint or two at a time, until the steps are awash.)
I shall never understand football. How can the Vikings hand the Chiefs their ass on a plate and yet lose to the Cards, Bears and Chargers?
I was sooo happy I couldn`t decide if I should shit or go blind.
Our Packer play by play guys on the radio were calling the Arizona Game during the two minute warning and the entire crowd at Lambeau Field erupted with cheer when the Cards won.
That was clearly a touchdown.
Only one other team has started 6-0 and not made the playoffs.
The Packers have won 7 of 9 and 4 in a row. They should get past Seattle next week. They are peaking right now.
I’m surprised. I expected some of the bitching to be about the Broncos only playing half their starting offense against the Packers. We in Denver knew by the middle of the week that the Packers would win.
And I’m still surprised, at Shanahan. Our starting QB, RB, one WR, and TE all have lost some game edge. Especially Portis, who was hurt last week. I guess next week will tell if some more of the genius luster has worn off the coach.
Doesn’t it suck how they cut off the first 2/3 of the episode? Damn sports.
Fudge them. Damn Wisconsinites
The Packers are an average team. Don’t look for them to go beyond the first round. They don’t even deserve to be in the palyoffs. Without number 4 they’re the fucking Detroit Lions.
Those grapes are really sour, aren’t they?
The Packers don’t deserve to be in the playoffs? Right. I suppose the choker Vikings do, though?
I would vote for shitting. It’s good for you!
