I know @Skywatcher 's avatar is a storm, but I always see it as a helmet, sort of like the one the Mandalorian wears. The lightning bolt is the slit at the front.
I do the same, and also confuse @capybara with that guy whose avatar is a capybara. And there’s those candy/jellybean/ball pit avatars that I sometimes take to be the same gal/guy.
I do grow both of them; but the habañeros I grow are orange.
I took my strawberry avatar from the snopes boards after they died; so it’s kind of a memento.
– I don’t usually even try to figure out what’s in avatars, as I so often can’t distinguish what’s in them unless I click on them to enlarge them and sometimes can’t do it then.

LOL sigh. It’s a diving Peregrine Falcon. Maybe I’ll go back to the other pic I’ve had. Cue Low Resolution Tiny Avatar Syndrome for that one. This specific board does seem to have smaller ones than other boards I know of do.
While I’m at it mods, is it possible to make them larger?

Not sacred ibis, those are only found in sub-Saharan Africa - oddly not in Egypt.
My pic is of white ibis which are very common on the Gulf Coast. Small flocks of 6-8 frequently feed in my yard after a rain.
More than one ibis is ibis - like trout or moose, though MWO says ibises is also used.
Ah! The heads in shadow looked black to me, but on second glance I can see they are just slightly darker than the wings due to shadows.
When I click on your avatar to enlarge it, it’s very easy to see it’s a falcon. Anybody can do that if they’re curious or confused. In any case, what’s wrong with a little bit of mystery? I like your avatar.

@Odesio’s new avatar is always parsed by me as some Tzeentchian mutant goat’s head, even though I have determined it’s a beholder. Every time I see it my brain just labels it as screaming pink goat. Brains are weird.

I just took a closer look at @Rebo 's avatar.
I think it is supposed to be a hobo-style clown with a yellow face, an orange nose, black sideburns and goatee, an orange chin, and a yellow cigar in one corner of its mouth.
My brain wants to see a small person standing in front of the clown’s face, its back turned to the viewer. The person has a yellow body, orange hair and shoes, and a bushy tail.
