Speak for yourself. There are lots of English expressions that are sometimes compound words and sometimes two separate words. I don’t really keep track, either for ordinary expressions or for brand names.
I don’t do porn, either. But it’s such an interesting example of how porn can be done that i feel like it comes up in discussions about porn. Like pornhub comes up, because they publish a lot of data, and some of their data is really interesting. (Like where and when people use their porn.)
It’s a punchline to a lot of jokes these days. “Oh yeah, for that go see their OnlyFans page”.
I learned about it ~8 years ago when my then- next door neighbor turned me on to her channel. Which was not a turn on for me.
To hear her tell the story it paid far better than her day job teaching 2nd grade. Not riches, but it kept her in nice cars & high living.
Now? I have zero clue.

I thought that this was going to be something that Bill Nye the Science Guy said about those authors. In reality there was another Bill Nye who lived closer to when those two authors did and the thread is about who influenced whom amongst other things.
I thought it would be about him winning the short story writing and humor awards named after those authors.
