How’s about a mini-DopeFest?
Saint Zero may have been joking about it, but I say why the hell not. How many of us Mississippi Dopers are out there?

I am in Jackson, being more of a lurker, I don’t have very many posts, but I would be open to the idea of a Jackson dopefest. It would be a mini-dopefest, no doubt, I think that there are only four active dopers in the old bold city, probably not very many more statewide. Tomndebb is from MS, no?
Heck, Juliana and I are usually game.
Now, I know there’s a lot of dopers in 'Bama. So maybe we can get something together. What say everyone?
And if we do start pulling out calendars, can we have a bit of leadtime this time? I kinda have to rent a vehicle, ya know.
Ogre, Zero, if there are a lot of Bama Dopers, perhaps it can be an Interstate-20 Mini-Dopefest in … I don’t know … Tuscaloosa? There has to be much to do in a college town, right?
I may have to repost this to shout out to Alabama Dopers. We’ll see. Ogre, can you name some more Bama Dopers?
Well, so far, there’s three Jackson-area Dopers (myself, Saint Zero, and Demanton). If we’re all couples, that makes a party of six – not bad for dinner and a night out at the Dock or the MQ, hmm?
Also, I was wondering if there has ever been a New Orleans DopeFest? Before Ogre spoke up, I thought a trip to the Big Easy would be a good time.
Zero - don’t worry. I’d rather have plenty of leadtime, too. Did you miss a DopeFest in the past because of time conficts?
I’m a BamaDoper, approximately 45 minutes from Tuscaloosa. Actually, that’d probably be the only city I could attend a Dopefest in for awhile…so…plus, I’ll be moving there come August 20. (I’m going to the University of Alabama.)
Maybe we can get something together.
Mmmmm, tasty beers at MQ or Beth’s special rum punch at The Dock, either one an inviting option. The Forum might be another idea, I’ve not tried the food there, but the kitchen sure looks nice…

I went to the Forum Friday for the first time … well, only to look for other people. It was 6 PM & nobody was there. But I was impressed by the look & feel of the place.
Hijacking the patio out in front of Lagers also seems like a good idea.
Problem: It’d have to be toddler friendly. I have two.
