MLB: 2013 Postseason

It’s just Game 1, my friend. You better conserve your energy.

I don’t like sending Mark Ellis on that play. Oh well.

Bad move, with Puig on deck.

NAF1138, don’t feel bad - there’s a lot of *players *who can’t take the stress of postseason, either.

I know I know. Hey, if See Gordon was still available he would have scored. I like Don, but he is at least half the reason I am dying. I should go to bed.

Dear Og, somebody win this game already!

<nudge> You still awake? Good game going on here…

Well, that was frustrating. On to tomorrow. Or today, if you’re in the right time zone.

My biggest gripe is Mattingly bringing in a pinch runner for Gonzalez. Once Michael Young takes over in the number 4 spot, Hanley never sees another pitch in the game. Stupid.

What’s “stodgy” about them as opposed to the other 26 teams? Nothing at all.

You are apparently unfamiliar with Baseball Syllogisms 101.

Stodgy, tradition-bound teams who know the intangibles are the ones who succeed in the playoffs. Therefore, the teams still in the playoffs are, by definition, stodgy, tradition-bound, and good on the intangibles.

QED.

Well, we can definitely say St. Louis has some goooooooood pitchers. And Yasiel Puig is sucking. The bat is not a hoe, Yasiel! Stop swinging at the dirt! Out of the slump, you!

Now would be a really good time.

Nevermind.

Dodgers better figure out some medical and offensive miracles quickly next week.

And now Puig is, what, 0 for 10??!!!? Sheesh. But it’s never just one batter. Dodgers need to let the Cards pitch to them next game. Last couple innings, they’re swinging at anything.

Anyhoo, GO RED SOX!!

I don’t think it was intentional, but it does give you an advantage if you disable the other team’s best hitter. Great pitching from both teams for 2 games in a row.

Wacha is just ridiculous! You realize the kid was only drafted in June 2012?

These insipid dugout interviews are making the Sox- Tigers game almost unwatchable.

If you’re not following the Detroit - Boston game, currently going into the eighth, you might consider doing so…

Not been a great day for anyone’s offense. Yet, anyway.

Great game. I was rooting for the no-hitter, but any loss by the Red Sox is a good loss.

Joe Buck talked that no-no to death.

Two one to nothing games…a one hitter and a two hitter.
Where has all the hitting gone?

Exciting games though!
