Last last win by Cleveland was 68 years ago when the Democrat Harry Truman pulled an upset win over the Republican Thomas Dewey.
Do you realize how many people were born and died without ever seeing a Cubs world series win? It’s like being alive for the first non-Italian pope. We were here to see it.
It’s amazing for how bad of a series (and game!!) Jason Hayward had, all the Cubs are crediting him for the rally during the rain delay. It vindicates his terrible game a little…

An 8-7 Cubs win in Game Seven, in the tenth inning, and after a rain delay. Oh, man. Count me a very disappointed Indians fan who nevertheless congratulates the Cubs and their fans. This World Series win has been a long time coming, and you deserve it.
That is amazing to think about. Both my father and grandfather never saw a Cubs championship. In the year that my great-great grandfather died at age 35, and my great grandfather quit school at age 16 to support his family, the Cubs won the World Series that fall. That was the last time until tonight.
