I hope they shove Fister up the A’s!
OK, I am officially worried now. The pre-ordained Reds v Nats NLCS is in serious jeopardy!
Two incredible finishes in a row! And today there are four games again, including two game fives. I hope today’s games live up to last night’s.
Heh. The baseball gods laugh in the face of anyone who uses the word “pre-ordained.”
To my surprise, I am going to the Reds-Giants Game 5 today. For whatever reason, tickets are ludicrously cheap at StubHub. We got a pair of seats in Section 528 for $5!
I’ll be rooting for the Reds even though they looked like the walking dead in game 4.
The whole Giants-Reds game is going to be like that first inning, I bet, and I’m going to vomit before it’s done. Go Giants!
Go Reds!
Mvp! Mvp!
And Buster Posey puts a 400-foot knife in the Reds’ hearts.
I’ve never seen a catcher stand up and turn away like that immediately after a ball is hit. Can’t blame him.
I still can’t believe last night’s heroics by Ibanez. Incredible.
I’m hoping my ticket for tomorrow’s game is of no use and the Yanks wrapped it up tonight.
Oddity- Ibanez is the first player ever to hit two HRs in a postseason game that he didn’t start. That’s kind of surprising to me.
Another oddity- last night was the first walkoff loss for the Orioles this year. They were the first team since 1900 to get through a season without one.
Tonight I hope Girardi puts Rodriguez at 3rd, Ibanez DH, and save Chavez for PH role later. Or Jeter might DH and put Nunez at short- Jeter’s not running very well right now.
If the Tigers lose tonight, please let it be Leyland’s last game.
Ack. The Giants are doing their torture/particles thing again.
You would think you could relax with a 6-0 lead and a Cy Young candidate on the mound. You would be wrong. Here, have a big ol’ helping of torture.
Ugh. I guess I won’t have to worry about a Yankees-Reds World Series, at least.
I have the game on the radio right now - I’ll listen for you!
It ain’t over yet… 2 on 2 out in the 8th, down 3.
At least we have a beard still.
FUCK!
Its because of the 1pm game on a workday. There were a lot of people that couldn’t get off from work three days in a row!
Last chance saloon for the Reds… tying run at the plate…
ETA: In play, run(s)… according to Gameday.
