No, totally different dynamic. For one thing, it’s the Cubs team that’s supposed to have been “lovable losers.”
Arrieta’s stuff was a little flat all night and he had trouble keeping the ball down. Good thing the Cubs hit 6 home runs. And I don’t know why Cards pitchers ever throw anything inside of about 4 inches off the outside corner because they seem to get that strike call every time.
Wow. 61 runs between the four playoff games today. Quite a slugfest.
