Is it illegal, per rule book, for players to wear an electronic device for hearing information? I imagine it is, because they don’t do it. At least I have never heard of them being used.
Well, it’s obviously because the Rogers Centre is wired out the wazoo with surveillance equipment for just this purpose. Honestly, some of the anti-Jays bigotry I’ve been hearing on TV since they made the postseason is just ridiculous. It’s all I can do to not throw something at the TV just about every time that idiot Harold Reynolds opens his mouth. I never could stand the sound of his voice, but the fact that he suggested (when a foul was hit into the stands at the Rogers Centre) that this was different from a game in the US because Canadian fans can’t catch a foul (they “cain’t kitch”, to be precise) was pretty much the last straw.
They have to take a split second to decide whether to make the save with their glove or their stick.
The Jays are killing me. Living in the Uk for the last 12 years, I’ve not followed baseball like I used to. So yeah, a little bit of a bandwagon jumper this year…I went to the World Series in 1992 so I remember how exciting it is to have the home team winning. But I’ve forgotten how stressful it can be when THEY’RE DOWN 5-0 IN THE SECOND INNING! it’s all I can do not to leave the room. :-/
You can’t catch a baseball when you have a Molson in one hand and poutine in the other. The ball ends up bonking the Canadian right on the tuque, but fortunately Canadians have had their heads hardened by years of being hit with hockey pucks. At least I’m pretty sure that’s Harold Reynold’s theory.
You’ve been sneaking a peek at Harold’s scorecard, haven’t you?
Not too much Harold doesn’t know. He has been everywhere. Sometimes more than once. Knows every player.
We are lucky to have him, no?
Former Blue Jay Greg Zaun admitted to stealing signs, but I don’t think he said how. I know the Red Sox have changed up signs in Toronto even with no runners on. Not sure if KC did that today, couldn’t watch much of the game.
Hendricks is not doing very well…
Liam Hendriks? He did great, he’s the only Blue Jays pitcher who the Royals didn’t score on.
Wow, that game really cleansed the ol’ KC palate of the taste of Cueto’s flop.
I think the Royals were stealing Blue Jay signs today.
Hey, Pennington wasn’t charged with any runs either… :smack:
The ol’ wild pitch K to score the go ahead run for the Mets in the 6th.
He didn’t say “Jays shortstops that the Royals didn’t score on”…
The ivy appears to be the Cubs best defender.
Also Murphy and Schwarber are now franchise leaders in postseason home runs
So the Cubs could be out tomorrow if they lose.
What bitter irony if they get knocked out on the exact day that Marty McFly saw the sign proclaiming Cubs win 2015 World Series.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the Cubs WILL be out tomorrow if they lose.
Unless there’s some way that i am unaware of for them to go down 4-0 without getting eliminated. ![]()
It being the Cubs, they can probably figure out a way to be eliminated at 3-0.
Come back in from that limb. So I forgot a comma.
Sheesh.
You didn’t. ![]()
And the Cubs swing the bat like shit. You have to MAKE the pitcher pitch, not swing so quickly to put yourself down in the count. Plus there were some bobbled balls on the Cubs field. UGH!
