I knew that dropping into the BMW dealership near my hotel this morning with no appointment would be a long shot, so I wasn’t surprised when they said they couldn’t help me today. But, it turns out there’s also a dealership 2 miles away from my next hotel: I have an appointment there for first thing Wednesday morning. I am so relieved that I’ll be able to get the other two new tires and an alignment before I drive the 250 miles back home! Today I’ve been able to chill and focus on work*, and tomorrow I’ll be able to just enjoy visiting my aunt. I’ll check out of NJ hotel #1 in the morning, as planned: I can’t check into NJ hotel #2 until 4pm, so I’ll go straight to my aunt’s (about 50 miles south of here) and take her to lunch. I’ll spend a couple more days in NJ, but am planning to drive home on Friday vs Sunday so I’ll have some solid recovery time at home this weekend (actually, I might head south late Thursday night to avoid the Friday traffic).

*Well, except for right now.

I had Chipotle for lunch (via DoorDash), and will have dinner with my cousin and her family.

What JtC said. I’d imagine that it’s sooooo much cheaper for places to make people do some work in order to get a credit/refund/etc.: not only will many people not bother, so the company isn’t out that money, they’re also not out the labor hours they would have spent on processing those credits/refunds/etc. It all adds up.

I would have thought A Christmas Story, too.

Awwww. But what happened to the purple sweater?

Bailey loved snow: she would tear around, doing donuts in the back yard. Heh.

:two_hearts:

Welcome back!

:joy:

Ugh. :people_hugging:

I think it’s so he has enough time to review the results, compare them to your history, come up with any needed recommendations, etc. At least, that’s how it is with my docs. They might not be able to look at the results for a day or two, so a week gives them plenty of time to get their ducks in a row before I show up expecting them to know stuff.
