MMP - FCM and the Fall Follies

That’s what happens when you down some Heinies after a rough day.

I think I’m going to try to leave early, because I have had it up to here :: points to there :: with one of our suppliers today, and my one and only all-purpose computer program has locked out everyone except the most junior guy on the staff.

So if I don’t pop back in, have a good weekend y’all.

Your at-home attire can’t possibly be that mundane. Certainly you have a silk dressing gown, or a smoking jacket, with an ascot. And some elegant soft leather house slippers. And Spongebob Underoos.

That’s how I picture you. Well, that, and a beer close by.

I certainly will…much better than nothing but tighty whities.

mbg, take the rest of the day off.

I figure I’m here til I hear the last elementary buses left their schools, clean up the desk and go hit the gym.

Weel, in an hour I’ll be leaving for High Point, so you most likely won’t hear from me until Sunday night. I hope no one misses me too much!

Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Have fun Snakes!

FCM I do have some boxer shorts with airplanes on 'em. Does that help?

I’m wearin’ my baggy blue shorts, a tshirt that says “Paradise Found… Panama City Beach, FL” and a cold beerverage is at hand. Life is good!

Sweet Marshmallow Zombie Jeebus, why is it not time to go home???

Ever had one of those days where you wake up from a wonderful dream and once you realize that it was just a dream you know that the rest of the day is simply going to suck horribly? That would be today for me. Ah well, yesterday was nice and I think I shall enjoy tomorrow, so whats one day?

Taters, that really sucks about the compy. I just had to do a complete wipe and reinstall of my Windows machine last week because I used IE (just once!) and managed to get a nasty virus that was not caught by any of my software in time, so even being prepared does not always save you.

cello guy… I like it.

Yellow Transporter Man, that was an impressive sounding day. I can’t imagien working somewhere that is that hectic. Though I do envy your ability to go to Panera for lunch, the closest one for me is half an hour from the office. My lunch options are limited to average Chinese buffett or Pizza Hut.

I think it is because the clocks hate us.

That’s what happens when you get old.
I forgot that I had an orthodontist appointment today. I was driving to work and suddenly thought, “I think I’m supposed to go to the orthodontist today!”
I had to call them when I got to work and make sure. I usually go on Monday mornings, that’s why it threw me. Pissed me off, too - I was planning on going to the gym after work and that got blown to shit. No time between work and the ortho, then no time between the ortho and picking up the littlest BiblioKid. I don’t want to go now because all the Muscleheads are there now and I hate going when they’re around. I like morning and mid-day - I can be alone.

The [del]sadist[/del] orthodonist put a ‘chain’ on the top and bottom and everything is tight and sore.
The good news is they should be coming off in December. Yay!

Bye guys. See you Monday.

We’re leaving a little later than we planned for the farm. I am packed, and should pick up alcohol, clean the sink, and do all the garbage and cat litter. Don’t think I’ll have interent access, so have a good weekend, everyone!

The training room has been remade into a casino, and another group is in there, blasting their music, screaming, gambling (with play money) and getting hammered. I can hear them all the way on the other side of the building and they’ve closed the kitchen, so I have to go upstairs just to get water. Just 3 more hours until I can go home.

It is now 5:15PM on a Friday. Can anyone tell me why I am still at work? I would ask someone in the office, but I am the only one here.

bangs head against desk

Stupid, stupid, stupid ancient UNIX machines!

To all those that are leaving: Have a good weekend!

Because you were showing your solidarity with me. Well, I left at 5:10, so apparently the signals got a bit scrambled, but thanks for keeping me company in spirit.

Tel: Explain yourself! (That’s an order!)

Nava, I’m sure swampy would have greatly enjoyed a reminder call from Spain. But it seems that he actually remembered about the picture all on his own. Maybe he’s not as old as we thought he was…?

Well, I’m off to the grocery to get some stuff for the fridge. Everything I want for dinner requires stuff I don’t have.

Back later…

GT

Sometimes, I remember stuff. Sometimes I don’t. My brain is like a toggle switch. On. Off. On. Off. On. Off. …

Now, GIT OFF’N MUH LAWN WHIPPERSNAPPERS!!!

Somebody mentioned way up-thread that they had seen The Libertine. The hubby and I saw it when it still playing at the theaters.

It was most definitely a different movie, but I enjoyed it all the same. Mr. Taters enjoyed it as well.

Twenty more minutes til I can go home. This day is dragging ass, although I have been very productive.

Hmmmm, I’ve nothing else exciting or mundane to report. I’m going to go home and make chicken boobies for dinner with some other stuff. That’s about it.

We had chicken boobies for dinner Taters with some green beans, rice and those frozen rolls that thaw and rise in the microwave and bake for ten minutes. Soooooooooo good! With ice cream and cookies for dessert! YUUUUUUUUUM!!!

Ok, Ima go watch tv with ACBG, while lyin’ in the bed. Wonder how long the tv watchin’s gonna last.

whew - home again! We dropped off FCD’s car to get a buncha work done on it ($$$$$$$$) while he’s in Phoenix, then ran to WalMart to get him some jeans and some food for his trip (two days on a bus…) plus I needed vittles for the critters. Then he took me to dinner, followed by a detour to check the boat.

Good thing we went to the marina. *Someone * left a hatch open, and it rained all day yesterday, and the bilge got pretty full. And before any boat-folk ask, yes we have a bilge pump - two, in fact - but *someone * neglected to complete the electrical connections, ergo, no power to the pump. So it was a good thing we went by. The bilge has been pumped and the hatch is secured, and I’ll go back on Sunday to double- check everything.

My sweetie is packing now, and I’m finishing the load of undergarments and brewing some tea for his trip. Once all of that is done, we’ll crash, since we have to get up around 5 tomorrow, to get out of here by 6.

<yawn>

If I check in tomorrow, it’ll be late. Soldier on without me!!

Swampy, Mr. Taters just saw the post where you sang Happy Birthday to him. He was very pleased and said to thank you very much!

He also said to tell you that if we ever get within 100 miles of each other again, that we’ll have to be sure to meet up.

Ah! Home at last! The weekend is here! I’m about to fix myself a Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum and Diet Coke. If one is going to drink, might as well go for some good stuff…
