My first boyfriend liked anchovies and pineapple on pizza.
This was only one of the reasons I broke up with him, but it’s significant.

I like anchovies (shut up! they’re good!) and I like pineapple. However, they do not belong together. It would have been more than enough reason to break up LiLi. That boy just ain’t right!
Morning everyone! I’m at work and feel ok. I expected to wake up all sore and grumpy but apart from a little soreness in the mouth, I feel good. Even ate me some grits and eggs. Oh, I am now the owner of a Sonic Care toothbrush thingy. I have the Elite edition. The periodontist [del]charged me an arm and a leg for it[/del] gave it to me. Oh well, I’m lettin’ him and the insurance company fight that one out.
So, who’s up for Monday? Or will it be a Tuesday MMP since Monday is a holiday for most of us?
Okay, that made me giggle.
So, I had the cat scan, and my doctor called me with the results. According to the latest pictures, there’s not a blessed thing wrong with me. No cysts, no appendicitis, no little gnome chewing on my insides. So now I’m left wondering if I’m crazy, or what. I think the pain was less yesterday–I didn’t feel like I had to lay down and die the second I got home, which is an improvement. Maybe whatever it was is resolving itself. I’m going to give it a day or two and see if it continues to diminish. The doctor thinks that a laparoscopy (or however you spell that) still wouldn’t be a bad idea, as the cat scan can sometimes not show little things (or things like endometriosis, which I’m going to have to read up on today), but I don’t know. I’m leery about having any kind of scopy at this point. I’ll give it a day or two, see if the pain continues to diminish, and if not, then I’ll see the doctor again and discuss my options. Or maybe I’ll see a whole new doctor.
I’m thinking maybe I am just crazy, at this point. sigh
Are we done throwing food around? You know there are starving children in Africa, it’s a sin to waste food, etc etc etc. (Yes, trotting out all those grandmother cliches)(and I’m typing from a Mac-type computer, so I can’t make the little accent marked e for cliche.)
I volunteer for not this upcoming MMP, but the one after that. I should have something good from my trip. The GF and I have decided to go to Pittsburgh, since we haven’t found a stain we like (translated to wife-speak=she doesn’t like any of them, but I could give a muskrat’s butt about the exact specific shade of blonde) and it’s going to rain here anyway today or tomorrow, which means we have to wait a couple of days for the deck to dry out before we can apply stain and a protective layer of whatever the hell it is they make it out of.

Stop me before I subreference again.

See? I’m whipped too!
::Must concentrate, must concentrate… ::
It’s a semi-beautiful day, with a perfect weekend planned, it’s Thursday, not even Friday yet, and I’m always in the looking forward to a 3-day weekend mode.
With a lot of work to do before I get out of here tomorrow…
Last night, I woke up from a dream and had a thought for a great OP in my head. Now, it’s all gone.
Alrighty, back to work. Back later on…
I will throw sumpin out there on Monday if the rest of you keep it from sinking like a stone. Maybe Dog Face will invent babyback ribs. Let me know so I can get the creative juices fermenting.
drae, I have had a laparoscopy. It was out-patient and I was only out of it for the rest of the day due to the dope to put me under. I would recommend that you get this rolling because the amount of pain you have been enduring isn’t some random glitch. Endometriosis sounds like a likely candidate to me.
Today is my Friday. Yay! I am taking tomorrow as a vacation day so I can have a four-day weekend. Life is good.

**Drae ** - 'scopies, of any type, are uncomfortable to say the least, BUT, they do reveal otherwise undetectable thingies. If doc thinks it’s a good idea, grit your teeth and do it. This thing has been gnawing at you for two weeks now at least, two more days may not yield a significant difference in your pain level, and a 'scopy will likely finally discover what, exactly, it is that ails you.
Sure you can, “option-e” (I’m on a Windows machine right now, so I can’t)
Go for the scope–it is a great diagnostic test. Endometriosis sounds like a likely culprit to me (unless the cysts have been reabsorbed–not sure if cysts can do that).
I am getting my hair colored this afternoon–the same color it is now, just a touch up. I have painted an entire room and even rehung the pics. It feels good to have at least one room in order. Husband still has to paint the ceiling, but I dont’ have to look at the ceiling.
Rainy here–so sick of humid and damp days. I am having a quiet morning and then going to get pampered. I had thought of getting a jump start on the front hall, but no way.
I dream about the Cool Kids alot–none of you look like yourselves, I’m sure, but I tend to run across you in Dreamland.
Watched the finale of Six Feet Under yesterday–and bawled like a baby. Such a great series and I really enjoyed the characters.
Baby muskrats? Flinging them? I’m off to call the ASPCA and PETA!
Now, if we could skeet shoot baby bunnies, I’m so there…
Bunnies aren’t as cute as everybody supposes
They’ve got those hoppy legs and twitchy little noses
And what’s with all the carrots?
Why do they need such good eyesight for anyway?
Good morning one and all.
Drae, I’m adding my voice to the chorus to do the laproscopy. Endometriosis can be painful and debilitating. I had it, it sucks! Some women get it worse than others.
Swampy, I’m glad your toofeses and gums aren’t sore. I want your fancy toothbrush, but I’m far to cheap to go out and buy it.
I was going to pamper myself tomorrow and get my hair cut and colored, but now I’ve got housecleaning to do for Saturday’s shindig. Oh well. Maybe next weekend.
That’s all I’ve got for now, other than today is my Friday! Yay!
Well. Apparently they need good eyesight to eat $20 worth of scaviola that I had not even yet planted.
I am St Francis when it comes to animals, but these dang bunnies this year–they don’t even move out of the way when I come outside now! I swear they look at me as if to say, “hey-where’s the grub?” as they decimate my garden.
dratted coneys–wascally wabbits <leaves, muttering to self in Elmer Fudd voice>

Cool. Thanks.
Morning, folks!
I have a pun for you!
Two brooms were hanging in the closet and after a while they got to know each other so well, they decided to get married.
One broom was, of course, the bride broom, the other the groom broom.
The bride broom looked very beautiful in her white dress. The groom broom was handsome and suave in his tuxedo. The wedding was lovely.
After the wedding, at the wedding dinner, the bride-broom leaned over and said to the groom-broom, “I think I am going to have a little whisk broom!!!”
“IMPOSSIBLE!” said the groom broom.
Wait for it…
“WE HAVEN’T EVEN SWEPT TOGETHER!”
Ha!
“IMPOSSIBLE!” the groom broom bristled.
VunderKind got hisself gradjumakated last night. Good thing I wore a Polo shirt, 'cuz there weren’t any buttons to pop off. Pictures by Monday.
The VunderLair looks like it’s a go.
VunderWife and I will be headed home to Virginny starting tomorrow afternoon.
That’s all I got.
yes yes yes, bunnies are cute - but I was comiserating with rigs, and quoting a song.
**Bobbio ** - I wanted to ask - is **VunderVife ** still feeling icky? the doc gave me a DosePack last night and today I feel great - but 6 days from now I’ll feel all yucky again. The allergies this year, at least here, are excruiating awful. And I’m told, I’ll be feeling the effects right thru ragweed season in September.
She’s fine in the Lupus department, but all the time sitting last night took a toll on her plain ol’ arthritis, and she’s moving slow today.
