Okay, it took me three tries to code that right. Sigh…really, how hard can it be?
We’re going to the Superbowl…we’re going to the Superbowl…neener, neener!
I had to laugh at Smith of the Panthers. Those were the biggest, poutiest lips I had ever seen. I saw screaming early in the game. In my mind it sounded like this, “Throw the ball to me! I’m the star! Gimme the ball!” What happens when he finally gets the ball? He fumbles. Too, too funny. At the end of the game, his lips were damn near on the ground and his eyes looked a little red too.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d be sad if I was one of the players and lost too, but I just find Smith very arrogant and irritating.
I guess we’re having folks over to watch the Superbowl. This really cracks me up, because Mr. Taters isn’t really into watching sports. But, this is special. For the first time in franchise history, we’re going.
May I pretty please have a biscuit now. Give me a good pad of butter to put on there too, please. Ooh, and some strawberry jam.
I had a great weekend. **KeithT **and I booked a place for our wedding (and thereby set the date too)! We’re really really excited. It’s this gorgeous old Victorian era hotel in a cute little town in Upstate NY. It’s going to be perfect. It’s the kind of place where every bedroom is decorated in a different style so we’re picking out people’s rooms too. (I’m really tempted to give one of my really masculine friends the Lace and Roses room. )
And we found out there are nuns near there who make really awesome cheesecake, which is perfect since we want cheesecake for our wedding. No silly wedding cake for us! Chocolate cheesecake all the way! (Although the Khalua cheesecake was SOOOOO good too.)
Tupug, we had stuffed peppers for dinner Friday night. Stuffed with turkey sausage mixed with rice and a little (store-bought) pesto. Really good. And served with polenta which is my newfound fav starch. No low-carb diet for me!
Draelin, when my ex bought his townhouse, one of the bedrooms there was Barbie pink too. I helped him paint over that. Who the heck paints their room pink?? Unless they’re a 5-year-old girl. Other than that, it’s just ugly. IMO. Not to offend anyone who has a pink bedroom.
The weather in the great Northeast has turned back to winter today. It was snowy when I took **KeithT **to the airport at 5:20 this morning. But not nearly as bad as it was at 8:30 when I left for work. Or at 10 when I finally got to work. I work 14 miles from home. It shouldn’t take an hour and a half to go 14 miles even if it is snowing!
I read this sports commentator from somewhere who says we got as far as we had (before yesterday) because we were given such an easy schedule. Then, as an after thought he concedes that we would probably win yesterday, but because the Panther’s stars were all injured, so once again, we lucked out.
I’m not a sports fan, but I hope we wipe up the field with the Steelers!
I expect all the MMPers to be rooting for the SEAHAWKS too! Ok, anyone who actually lives in Pittsburg can stand with the future losers…
(of course, I’m kidding, I didn’t find out yesterday’s score until the 11 o’clock news.) swampy, I didn’t mean to show up your biscuits with my cheese cake, I just thought you might run low, cheese cake is always a good back up, right?
Great MMP starter BTW.
oh, good I’m not too late - it’s still on page one (and I found it in MPSIMS)
Happily Birthilly Dilly to You-illy, FCM
Nothing to report - I slept most of Sunday because the oncoming storm was making me feel queechy (yes, that’s a word. It means icky and cranky and generally miserable, but not really sick)
I probably won’t be checking in again til later this afternoon, so please save me some birthday nummies - I’ll have them after lunch
Actually, he freaked out because I tried to keep him away from the pan of paint, and instead tried to run directly up the wall I’d just painted. It didn’t work out too well.
I found a dollar when I went out for a run this morning. I guess that made my decision to get out of bed a good one, don’t you think?
I need to see about getting some refills on my inhaler. No point in mentioning that really, other than my fingers typing it may allow me to actually remember it.
But see, that isn’t PEPTO-BISMOL or BARBIE pink. It looks more like Sweet Pea pink. I painted my first house with Sweet Pea. It was just enough to warm up the look of the house, without being extremely obvious. I had light gray carpeting and lightcolored furniture that carried some hints of pink and blue in it.
Anyone remember Tutti-Frutti? That blinding color of pink and orange? I had a friend who bought a house with a bedroom that color–it took 4 coats of light blue to cover it.
Eggzackly. I’m not a fan of pink in general, but my bedroom was somewhere between Pepto and Barbie, and I’m very very happy that is no longer the case.
