Mod Snark on other Boards

Hate Speech, but I didn’t start it.

The thread’s about hate speech, though, right?

Because “Man-hands” isn’t an insult if it’s applied to a guy. If you’re claiming you were insulted by it, you’re either a guy who’s trollling or a girl with skin so think that you’re transparent.

You think asking you your gender is mean? How about pretending to be a woman so you can act offended by someone’s post about “man hands”? Isn’t that mean?

By the way, what was your point about Eve, et al?

(And what’s your gender, Carol?)

I’m curious about the answer to that question myself; it’s sort of a, “off-duty cop but still in uniform” kind of situation, where the cop is not on duty but is still expected to conform to a higher level of deportment - what is management’s take on moderators going to other boards and snarking on members of the SDMB there?

Oh look, attempts at evasion. It’s simply not kosher for an SDMB mod to go to a splinter board and snark on other members. Does anyone agree?

From here it looks like you just changed the subject in order to avoid answering a question which reflects on your credibility.

When Johanna (sorry for the misspelling) wants to present as a woman, there’s a coming out party. KellyM , even with the “woman-sperm” thing, hey, no problem. There was another chick who went on and on about green semen.

But if I go by Carol, I’m a troll. That’s what’s mean, you jerk.

You’ve yet to demonstrate any snark whatsoever.

Frankly, you want to see ‘snark’? Go to the snarkpit tomorrow when the Nonnies post about this.

(I’m not sure of the status of linking to the Snarkpit-I think it’s legal, but I’m not sure, so I won’t short a mod saying “Who cares if you link to them”.)

It’s not snark to post how the moderators were laughing at posters in mod emails? I’ve already asked this. If it’s not my business, why did Gfactor post it on a splinter board? Can’t have it both ways.

You’re leaving out the option that they’re none of YOUR business. They’re his business, and he can do what he wants with them. You still can’t have any though. If he chooses to give you some of his business then you can have it. But otherwise, it’s not your business to request, and it’s his to do with as he pleases.

No U.

A) I’d think someone as very, VERY concerned about the rules would be more careful about calling people “jerks” outside the pit. For shame.

B) No, sorry, nice attempt at misinterpretation but your gender wouldn’t be relevant except that YOU made it relevant. If you’re a guy going by “Carol” no biggie. If you’re a guy going by “Carol” and trying to pretend that you’re all offended about being referred to as a guy with manly hands? Yeah, that would be a problem in my opinion.

So what’s your gender Carol?

No, that’s what children like you don’t understand. If it’s on the internet, it’s automatically EVERYBODY"S business, because you put it there. IOW, you can’t post your whole life on facebook, and then whine when people comment on how much of a douchebag you are.

Here are your quotes from the thread “What exactly is hate speech”

The last question in the first quote states that you’re asking if “derogatory comments based on gender” are hate speech.
Then your second quote has you asking about the man hands being applied to a woman as one of your questions (which leads me and probably others to the assumption).

That’s why people think you’re thinking Man-hands was a hate speech question, because of the order in which you presented them.

Hope that clarifies things.

How can you be ask another poster about being mean to you and then turn around say things like that to someone else? It undermines your whole argument when you start it with an insult.

This may not qualify as trolling under the “rules”, and I’m sure that Gfactor is getting a big laugh out of it, but you are trolling me, trying to get a reaction, so I am done.

Um, because a poster whose name is ToeJam, and his biography is “Yo sup” is a child, perhaps? He’s insulting his own intelligence, if anything.

Carol Stream, personal insults are not permitted outside of the Pit. Please refrain.

Fenris, please stop repeating a question that Carol Stream has already declined to answer in this thread.

Thanks.

It happens to be a quote by the character Toe Jam from the Video Game Toe Jam and Earl.

Would you have preferred that I use the quote “Jamming” by him instead?

[del]Also, I’m interested in the field of podiatry, and I like the Beatles song Strawberry fields forever because they remind me of my youth, when I was wee child preserving jams with my Grandmother out in the countrysides. And I thought what a delightful and whimsical way to reference while still being able to cleverly associate it with my of my new found future goals. For how can we look forwards unless we truly know where we’ve been and how far along in life we’ve truly come? [/del]

Okay not really that last part so much.
It’s just a quick quote by the character, who I loved as a kid.

We can’t all be notable small developmental communities, **** Carol.

You still haven’t addressed the main point behind the question of your gender. Fine, keep it a secret if you like. But, as you have said several times, you can’t have it both ways. If you keep your gender a secret, people can rightfully question what is snarky about the “man hands” comment. If you are female, then you have some basis for indignation. If you’re male, then the statement “You have man hands” is vacuously true (sorry for the misuse of logic jargon, but it’s the best phrase I could come up with).
