Perchance Pezpunk, did you actually see the thread xanakis is going on about, or read Lynn’s quote of it? I suspect not, since your comments here do not reflect the true issue at hand. A quick reading will show that the issue isn’t porn at all; it’s xanakis’ attempt to run his “experiment” that got his thread deleted.

Ignoring the first half of this (which has no logical basis anyway), I’d like to look at the second half. Near the beginning of this thread, Manservant Hecubus clearly labeled you a “knob.” Does this mean the M H has contained you and therefore controls you? I did not read his post (it’s deleted) and I DID read lynn’s comments above and still am apparently unaware what it consisted of. It sounded like it was a LOOK AT MY BOOBS thread and turned out to be a question about something else altogether. Is that wrong?>

This message has nothing to do with pornography. I am merely conducting an experiment, testing a hypothesis. Im interested in the number of “views” particular messages get on this Message Board. Presumably there is a correlation between the number of views a message gets and the title of that message. Currently (at this moment in time) I notice that a message with the word “porn” in it is the most popular message in terms of “views” or hits. Hence my decision to begin my experiment with the word “porn”.

I must warn you I may decide to continue my experiment with other keywords at any time in the future. Or I may just get bored with the whole idea. This thread does belong in “General Questions” because it addresses the question of whether people are as predictably sex-obsessed as we might initially assume.
Thank you for taking part in my experiment, you may now go about your normal business in the usual manner.

So sorry that I asked a question based on the information provided in this post. Considering the offending post had been deleted I couldn’t view it before now. SO FRIGGIN SORRY!

The issue is not about posting with a misleading title (though THAT can and will get your thread closed in GQ*). The issue is about conducting any sort of experiments, particularly social experiments, on the SDMB. We don’t allow those sort of experiments.

*The last time someone started a thread with a misleading (and racy) title in GQ, I simply closed the thread and told the offender to use a better description.
