Nice try, silly person, but I’m pretty sure the tiny actors are putting on a live play inside of my television set.
I wondered the same thing, she moved back home and then this one she was absent. I assume? she was allowed time off for something and was now ready to be full time Modern Family. It does seem like this one would have fit in better last week I guess is what I am trying to say.
ETA: Did a quick Google and found out she had a kidney transplant in April so that may explain why she went to college. Not sure though just guessing.
I can’t complain about any episode that contains Phil taking off his shirt. But I wish he’d stop shaving his body.
Loved that scene, btw.
I particularly liked it because he was bemused but not disgusted. 15 years ago the laugh would have been him running for a bathroom to vomit.
The whole premise of Phil’s doesn’t-know-it’s-a-date date could have been appallingly cringe-worthy; I was bracing for the worst. Yet somehow it came off very naturally and completely in-character. Kudos to Ty Burrell, Matthew Broderick, and the writers.
I also loved that Gloria figured the whole thing out while listening to Cam on the phone, but decided not to say anything. At least that’s how I interpreted it.
Yes, that was done very well!
I thought Cam’s gift to Jay and Gloria was a nice callback to the first episode, in which we saw a similar mural on the wall of Lily’s nursery.
Yeah, and it was funny that both Gloria and Jay liked it!
It’s still there - you can see it whenever there’s a scene in Lily’s room.
Jay: “I like it!”
Mitch: “Dad, you don’t have to pretend”
Jay, cutting him off: “It makes it easier to let go of the room.”
Though I am surprised to learn that Jay and Gloria’s house apparently only has 3 bedrooms. Seems bigger than that to me.
From what I’ve seen of Jay’s house, most of the first floor has double-height ceilings, so there may not be very many rooms upstairs, where the bedrooms are.
