Modern Family - Dec 12 - Diamond in the Rough

Anybody else watch it?

What did you guys think?

Not a bad episode. Not great, but had some decent moments.

Tough womb…

This one didn’t do too much for me. I was also distracted by thinking about who owned the land the baseball field was being constructed on and how all the labor and material was being paid for. And it was all for just one game?

I couldn’t quite concentrate on this ep; my mind kept wandering, and that’s not a good sign.

Yeah, “Tough womb.”

The bit with Mitchell as Blofeld was kind of funny, but yeah not their best episode.

I thought it was meh.

From the size of her belly, I think Gloria’s going to give birth to a toddler.

I really don’t find it all that funny that Gloria is a bad singer and doesn’t know it, but this is like the third or fourth episode that has centered on it.

I liked it, but mostly because I’ve been in a similar situation to Phil in the past. A lot. And probably once again right now. In fact, once my wife watches it, I expect to get an earful.

This season is a train wreck. The actors seem like they are finished with the series. The writing is definitely not as strong as season 3 (which, imo, was the strongest), but the acting this season is so lackluster.

Fortunately, each episode is a bit better than the one before, but even that isn’t saying much.

Memo to the writers: Gloria is a hot-tempered Cul OHM bee un. I get it. MOVE. ON.
