Modern Family - The Wedding pt 2 5/21/14

I really liked the finale last night. The bits with Luke and Manny as a “married” couple were great and I also liked all of the little signs of the Apocolypse (Four Hoarse Men, A swarm of Lucas’s).

Jay walking Mitch down the aisle to give him away hit me right in the feels, as did Phil’s awesome ceremony. Needed more magic though.

I loved Luke and Manny as a married couple, as well. Hilarious!

Especially with the Lily finisher…“it’s like they never left”. I was hoping to see how Alex edits that for YouTube.

Lily is great! She often gets the best lines in an entire episode, I think.

I love Lily and always look forward to her scenes.

Haley: “You just walked past me!” “I’m waving to you right now!”
Don’t much like the lug that she’s flirting with though. What happened to Dylan? He was funny.

I forget exactly what Jay said to Mitchell before going down the aisle, something about going for a walk? That.

HAHAHAHAHA!

Nathan Lane: “i’ve got a Prius full of monarch butterflies that are apparently coming home with me.” And Cameron with, “Ahhh!! The butterflies are eating me!!!”

Alex taping the Luke / Manny wedding was hilarious! I love the Haley / Man-Nanny (Andy?) thing. Andy is a guy I couldn’t spend more than 30 seconds talking to. He speaks like a textbook with a touch of Sister Mary Whatever. Does he deserve a hot girlfriend? Hell yes, he does! A loyal and dedicated dude like this isn’t even real, which is why he pisses me off.

Great episode, but they should have utilized more of Nathan Lane’s talents. This goes for every ep he’s in.

The “four months” pregnant Elizabeth Banks going into labor. “Oh by the way, when they’re born this early, sometimes they’re black.”

It was pointed out in a previous episode that he is a lot like Phil.
I thought the scene of him in the taxi was sad. Though I’m guessing if he were a real character he would probably not feel comfortable at a gay wedding.

Why would the Coast Guard be active in Salt Lake City?

I kept hoping Shelley Long would make an appearance. I never liked Diane, but she’s great as Didi.
