Can Mods/Admins go back and see what was written in an edited post after its been edited? No real reason for the question just curious.
Yes, we can.
oh my god! eek:
We can tell who’s been bad or good too. So be good for goodness sake.
The mods can tell what you are going to post before you actually do it. Luckily they can’t do anything about it until you actually type something in and submit it. But they still know what you intended to post even if you don’t click the button. This is the cause of many ATMB threads, the warnings issued reflect what the mods know a Doper intended to post, not just what they wrote, so the warning seems unduly harsh based simply on the posted content. To solve this problem always wear a tinfoil hat while posting, with shiny side down to keep your thoughts from escaping.
Do you know when I am sleeping? Know when I’m awake?
Are you watching out? Endeavouring not to cry?
:::gets out list::::::::checks twice.
I’m sure y’all are just enthralled by my disappearing and reappearing apostrophes.
So there’s also nothing up your sleeves?
Test.
No you can’t. Unless your vbulletin 3.7 allows it whereas my vbulletin 3.5 doesn’t. We even had problems with mods deleting their own posts and we couldn’t go back and see what they’d deleted. Just that they posted something and then deleted it.
Back when I was still a mod here that option was available.
I run a site on vBulletin 4.2 and we can, but we could before the recent upgrade as well. It was 3.something before the recent upgrade and it worked.
Yes, actually we can. If you don’t believe me, edit a post and I’ll tell you what the pre-edit version said.
You run a message board?
I may start my own message board, when I get a little older.
I think this is one of the best boards on the internet!
See post 11. I did it as a little joke but feel free to use it.
What happens if someone breaks the rules, but then edits their post before the moderator comes in?
Czarcasm:
Original: The board has gone to hell in a handbasket since I retired.
Edited version: I think this is one of the best boards on the internet!
Loach (thanks, didn’t want to do that without permission):
Original: Fnord.
Edited version: Test.
