Seems now like we’ll hit #7 on the all-time fuss parade by mid-afternoon today Wed. This one shows no signs of slowing down yet. LOL at it all.
It does feel special being part of this historic event! If we could just move an ATMB thread into the all-time biggees, that would be worth a hoot and holler for sure. I’m afreaid The Game Room is going to prevent that, but it could happen in time.

I don’t know of a practical (read as “easy enough for me to bother with”) way to find the longest threads across other forums, so I can’t handicap this one board-wide.
As best I can determine with my methods, counting down the longest threads for just ATMB looks like this right now (entries are post count & link with title):

You can see how we’ve got aways to go to get into the top three of the ATMB hit parade, much less take the coveted #1 spot.
I took a quick shot at locating the longest Great Debate threads, figuring that forum would tend to have the longest threads. Even if we got to be #1 in ATMB, topping 1,052 posts here, we’d only be #14 or so in GD by my admittedly rough measurements. This thread as of now would rank about #235 in GD.
The longest one there I found has 2,949 posts. And as you might expect, it was started by Dio.
I then took a look at the Game Room. Boy was I wrong about GD being long. Shows what little I know about forums I rarely visit. GR has a few much longer threads.
By my weak methods the longest GR thread runs to 12,017 posts. I rank the longest GD thread at about #11 on the GR rankings. The longest ATMB thread is a mere #58 on the GR hit parade. This thread as of now would rank about #175 on the GR hit parade.
Then again, I suppose we ought to interpret thread lengths differently in the different forums. When messageboard politics threads get longer than lots of, but not all of, real world politics threads, we oughta consider that an achievement. Or something. An shit.
