Mommy, Mommy! Guess what I learned at career day! Big boobies can make you big money!

Hey, I specifically said that I could have chosen to ignore my parents. My own fault that I didn’t. My own failure to try is what makes me sick. I lacked both the initiative and the spine to do so, because I was convinced that my goal was unrealistic. Call it blame if you want to, but there’s no denying that parental influence, good or bad, is a huge factor in determining the course of everybody’s life.

My point was that “realistic” should’t be a factor in choosing a career goal. I’m convinced that there are millions of frustrated, unhappy artists (of whatever variety) in this world whose parents believed that the arts were no good for anything but a hobby. I believe that dreams should be encouraged, not shot down. The problem is that most parents want to be able to brag about their grown children. They would be embarrassed if they had to tell people, “Well, you know, we wanted Johnny to go to college, and get a good job, but all he does is sit at home banging away on that typewriter.”

Point taken.

Funniest thing I’ve read all day.

That’s nice and all, but I don’t think it has anything to do with leading girls to believe that they can easily make as much as a brain surgeon by just shaking their boobies.

I mean, it’s one thing to support a young woman in her dream of becoming the world’s greatest and most highly-paid exotic dancer, or even just an ordinary good stripper. It’s another to lie to kids about how in the adult entertainment industry vast riches await even the most uneducated and unskilled of women, provided they’ve got large breasts.

In the article it does sound like the kids encouraged the speaker to go into a longer tangent about stripping than he probably intended, but I don’t see why he wanted to bring it up in the first place. As an elderly male management consultant, I doubt he’s got much knowledge of the field as anything other than a patron.

She was an attractive girl - but not very bright.

Who would find this attractive? Not a hard fact, but in my experience 99.99% of strippers strip in sleazy shitholes where a cute face or big boobs is enough - not the Hollywood fancy, handsome guys going bonkers, money flying, pole-dancing, 5-star babes with gimongous fake tits, etc. I know because I have done extensive research in this area, in the interest of science, of course.

Telling girls they can make 250K dancing is like telling children they can make 250k working with computers - sure, it COULD be done, but good luck baby, because there is a hell of a lot of competition at that level - to make that kind of money stripping you have to be born with!

Thankyew thankyew, I’m here all week. Try the veal.
