So the closing manager was 2 and a half ours late. He better hope i don’t get that store, or he’s on Double Secret Probation. They are siding outside the apartment, so I got 45 minutes of Gordie singing The Song of His People, and the Mexicans singing back. And it repeats tomorrow. For 8 freakin’ hours.
My parents’ 1970s microwave will cook a 10 pounder ,and any pets who get too close.

Emily, I don’t know about Canada, but turkey in all shapesand parts are available here year round. Sometimes when there’s a good deal on it, I use it in dishes where I normally would chicken.
Da nephew and I went to my home today for a few things and to get the mail from my neighbor. It looks like I’ll be here until at least Tuesday. I want to go home.

This is the best thing I’ve read all day!
Today, I was restless so went to the casino, mainly for the casino-chartered bus ride out to the country and the cheap food. I’m not much of a gambler so I never win much. Can’t even bring myself to bet big with fake money online.
There was a good, fun bunch on the bus today. One woman, who was originally from somewhere in Central America, I think, was talking about hiney being sweet. A woman originally from Germany said, “No, hiney is German for dumkopf. I don’t like calling people that.” A man, a plain ol’ 'Murrikin, said, “No, hiney is what you sit on.”
This went on for a bit before someone finally said, “What you mean is honey. Honey is sweet.” The first woman said, “That’s what I said. Hiney is sweet.” I swear, there were either hidden cameras on that bus or I was traveling with a group of people who were trying to revive Vaudeville. Or maybe both.
Well, off to bed to recharge the gray matter. I have to two more days to finish a book before it needs to be returned and I’m not quite halfway through. Hope I can read a bit more read tonight before the zzzzz’s come prowling.
It’s 4:00 a.m. The cats are wrestling over the limited real estate between my knees. This sucks.

Its a holiday week for me, which means only 8 hours at the irk place instead of the usual 10. Apparently though, no one told the dogs, who were up and whining an hour before the alarm was set to go off. So I got up, took care of their issues, and went back to bed to stare at the ceiling for the remainder of the hour until it was time to get up. Not a good way to start off the day. Hopefully things get better from here

Same here, sorta. I never got past the cooking-the-punkin-chunks part. Stoopit chunks never got soft enough for me to remove the rind, so I tossed the whole mess into the woods. I assume the wild critters in my neighborhood ate well that night. ugh. Libby’s canned punkin is the only option now.
It’s raining, and it has been raining for a while, tho I don’t know how long a while. All I know is it’s wet outside and still coming down. It should continue for a few more hours at least. Yay!
My biggest plan for today is to de-meat the chickie carcass in the fridge and create a chickie salad. I may break out the vacuum cleaner, too. Or not. We’ll just see how it goes.

TVCTPMO is toying with me today. Since I made a service appointment for the Family Truckster to get a brake job earlier in the week, of course it rains the day I take it in and I walk the rest of the way to the orifice.
