This thing is hypnotic to watch as it gobbles up anything. The power is astounding.
One’s big, one’s mobile. I wanna see a fight to the death!

They had an SSI TV show for a while last year. It depicted them designing, building, and servicing their machines.
Kind of like “will it blend” on a large scale.
Can it shred Godzilla?
Not much of a Monster-Shredding Machine then, is it?
I have one at home. Goes through skulls like a knife through butter.
Still, can’t beat the old wood chipper!
What can be recycled from a mix of shredded tire shredded sofa and shredded computer?
Heh. I like the one labeled Car: VW “Hippie Bug”. They staged a little skit.
When they catch that ISIS beheader guy, maybe they can toss him in there…
Well, it could probably shred a mummy or a chupacabra.
Does “Monster shredding machine” imply a machine that shreds monsters, or a shredding machine which is a monster?
I imagine you can make recycled hills out of it.

Mega Shredders on the Science Channel. For the most part, it’s a handful of goofballs running anything from magazines to vehicles through their machines with a smidge of “reality” like someone on the other side of the country desperately needing their shredder repaired by the end of the day.
One of the sillier bits was when they tossed a bunch of paper shredders into one of their shredders and expressing exasperation with people calling them looking for some little plastic gear for their toy.
I’ve always wanted to know if a Blendtec blender can blend another Blendtec. Similarly, can an SSI shredder chew up an SSI shredder?
They need to run it at about 1/4 speed for that.
I’m reminded of a quote from Cryptonomicon - something like “Industrial accidents involving this machine were spoken of in hushed whispers, and not blended with stories of other, lesser industrial accidents”. ![]()
Staged is right. There was no engine in that bug when it was shredded even though it drove up in the skit.
