Moral Dilemma: How Can We Eat Without Killing Anything For Food?

But your still bringing pain and suffering to the crab just so you can enjoy it’s flesh and removing it’s claw makes it more vulnerable to be harmed or God forbid killed by predators. Word’s just couldn’t explain how angry I am the moment.

Words can’t explain how close to trolling it comes when you continue to push an argument that every single other person makes logical arguments against only to have them completely ignored by you as you continue to claim a demonstrably false moral high ground.

Yes? And? What’s your point? All life is full of pain and suffering, especially in the wild. Let me ask you something…why do you think those crabs have the adaptation to regrow claws that they lose? Just a happy coincidence?

ETA: I find myself militantly unmoved by your anger and fury over this. How do you feel about all the plants and animals (and humans too) you kill through your use of high technology? Why are you still posting if you have such angst about crabs losing one claw?

“A false moral high ground”

If you don’t think ripping a claw of a crab does not cause it harm …urghhh I am so mad I just don’t what to say to you people, so I am just going to quote a great man

“The love for all living creatures is the most noble attribute of man”.
Charles Robert Darwin

You have anynidea how many samples Darwin took on his journeys? :p. This is just hilarious. What next?

Go back and consider or address some of the logical and reasonable arguments against your original opinion and then maybe I’ll consider this entire thread something other than you trying to place yourself on an angst filled pedestal of moral superiority.

I for one really don’t give a shit how angry you are. You’re only stating such in order to assuage your moral outrage and assert your superiority. In truth, along with your failure to actually “debate” this issue in discussing alternative ideas, it only proves that this IS all about you putting yourself on that pedestal.

I think the OP needs a hobby to fill his time. Like learning the difference between “its” and “it’s”.

To actually answer the title of the OP:

Moral Dilemma? It isn’t.

How can we eat without killing anything for food? We can’t.

Simple!

Now, where’s my bacon and egg sammich dammit.

It’s so predictable that someone who has no respect for logic will inevitable turn to hatred and/or anger.

Stone crabs…that’s what’s for dinner tonight!

Yummy!

It destroys my faith in humanity to see so many people taking this poster seriously.

All I know is when my sister (who is a vegan along with her husband) likes to trot out ‘can’t you taste the fear when you eat that steak??’. To which I reply ‘yeah, that’s what give it that great flavor!!’. :stuck_out_tongue:

Mmmmm…fear.

You people sound like you would even track and kill a strandbeest if you thought it was food… So sad.

I prefer to track a pre-killed T-bone steak. Rare, with a baked potato (with cheese and lots of butter and salt). Maybe a lobster tail with that as a veggie, with drawn butter to get my fruit portion in…

Anyone continuing to take the OP seriously after his strandbeest comment deserves to look stupid.

I think most folks are just having fun here.

Douglas Adams had a better idea.

Also, if s/he IS a compeltely sincere cook… not the biggest in the board’s history. Not even this week.

It may be you are the only one taking any posts here seriously, I think humanity will be fine.
