More Snow! What the Heck?

After receiving 22 inches of snow this past weekend, we’re supposed to get another 18 inches tonight/tomorrow.

Adding up all the snow we’ve gotten in the last 90 days, we must be hitting some kind of record for snow in a single season. What’s going on with the East coast this year? Sheesh!

My back is still killing me from shoveling on Saturday.

Enough already. I’ve officially had it with Winter.

Either a mad scientist has invented a weather-control device, or some kid got hold of a genie lamp and made a rather ill-advised wish.

I’ll go with the kid. It’s always the kids.

We (near Dulles Airport, Virginia) broke our all-time 2-day snowfall record over the weekend (29.79 inches, exceeding the previous record by 5 inches) and are scheduled to get 10-20 more today. The airport itself got more – 32 inches.

Don’t forget we got 18 inches on Dec 19th, too.

Y’all are welcome to it! Over here in central Washington, we’re having a delightful (from my POV) winter with almost zero snow (I think we’ve had two snowfalls all winter, one of less than an inch and one even lighter one that was very wet and melted away by the next day) and daytime temperatures in the mid- to high-40s (where they’re usually in the teens or low 20s this time of year).

Our usual winter weather consists of just a few very heavy snowfalls (12" on up) and freeze-your-ass temperatures that allow that snow to sit there and sit there and sit there.

Also, my car is starting every day.

Of course, by Spring/Summer all the orchardists are gonna be bitching about the drought.
