More than Very Vaguely Creepy . . .

So I got an email from someone about this totally random guy. And being the doper that I am, I went to check on snopes for it. No luck. So I turned to Google. And the first site I checked had the following OPer:

tigger4jdt.

I am not making this up.

Oh, and the email doesn’t really check out . . . earlier versions site the Columbus Dispatch Newspaper, which has no record of the story. Do a search for “Teary Valley High School” or “Teays Valley” or “Girls/Guys I liked” or “People I liked” . . . the guy’s name is Brian Moore.

I’m not getting the significance. Then again I’m probably not supposed to.

Tigs, whatever have you been keeping from us?! :D:D

runs like a madman, dropping lizards behind him to distract Tig

Not to sound dumb… I don’t get it… Please explain.

 I graduated from Teays Valley in 2000. There were several people with the last name Moore, but I don’t remember any Brians. Checked the 1998 year book, no Brian Moore.

Um, does the JDT part have any significance?

For elucidation on “JDT”:

That should be more than even, even if you’re a masochist.

WTF are you talking about?

I am very proud that I coined a term, though.

I made my previous post before reading the story. The accident it describes did happen; I had forgotten the name of the person involved.

what the hell are you all talking about?

i read those threads (only partially- 7+ pages equals novel length!) and i dont really see any more than a guy with psychotic issues about his weewee. who? what? when? why? where? is this guy a sordid shadow in the SDMB’s past?

what article? and, more importantly, what the hell?

Those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about don’t know who Jack Dean Tyler is/was, or who tiggeril is. She’s a member of the SDMB, and has been for about as long as I have (nearly a year, I believe). It was just a bit of a shock seeing “jdt” and “tigger” even without the “il” in the same name. I see that most of you who don’t understand came after JDT was banned, which was the day of my “Religions of the Near East” Final, if I recall correctly. It was around December of last year, at any rate, which might explain why someone with a March 2001 registration date has no clue who he is.

Basically he was a nut. And anyone who remembers him will understand that statement and the slight problem with it;)

I am familiar with Tiggeril and JDT, but I was more curious about the e-mail recieved that caused the search that brought up the name tigger4jdt.

Oh, mighty_maxx, I got this email from someone I know from a really pathetic debate, and it was about this guy who died and had written this story for a “fellowship of christian athletes” meeting. And as the SDMB has taught me to be wary of this stuff, I went to check it out. That’s where I saw the screen name.

Ah ha. cunfusion abated.
