Most addictive food ever!

Kit Kats!

Not sure if they differ stateside, but these parcels of chocolate wafery goodness are the only things I’m likely to eat every day if they are in supply. Those oversized Kit Kat Crunchys are just as good, but both are served best frozen. Does anyone else find that warm chocolate is completely unpalatable?

Anything with Licorice in, particularly the licorice-caramels that Halter (I think) sell in Switzerland. To make matters worse, it seems they’ve pulled these out of most shops and possibly stopped making them altogether. :frowning:

“I’ve always wanted to know what Turkish Delight is and how it tastes. Every time I read that book I get a craving for the stuff and I’ve never even seen what it looks like!”

We bought a DVD boxed set of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” for the kids for Xmas and it has a recipe for turkish delight. IIRC, it is candied fruit of some sort.

Huh. I always imagined it being a chocolate toffee of some sort. You learn something new every day

Which version of the LW&W? All I’ve seen is the BBC’s movie where Lucy is overweight and bucktoothed. Did they not even SEE Pauline Baynes’ illustrations?

The Turkish Delight I’ve bought or made has always been rose or rose and lemon flavored. Good, but I prefer licorice of the yummy Panda brand sort. I’ve gone entire days eating nothing but.

I didn’t know anyone else had a sushi addiction, in a way, it’s good to know I’m not alone.

Turkish delight (or Turkish Delight, whichever you prefer) is a sweet that originated in the Middle East. Most commercial varieties are gelatin-based, with a consistency similiar to that of gummy candy, though not quite as chewy. It comes in cubes that are rolled in icing sugar. It’s usually flavored with rosewater, to my knowledge, but I believe it’s also available in mint and pistachio. I’ve never eaten Turkish delight made in the traditional fashion, but there’s a little information about it this.

I’m a junk food addict, so I’ve got a couple.

baklava-I have never understood people who say something is “too sweet”. There is no such thing, sweeter=better 99% of the time.

Combos- These crackers with cheese in the middle that taste like pizza.

Guacamole chips-These dorito like chips that taste like guacamole. I used to eat a bag of these and a vanilla coke for breakfast everyday…!

Pocky. I could go through a sac in an afternoon if I didn’t exercise some self control. Everyone I know who’s tried it agrees that it is the most addicting food ever (chocolate flavored or no)

Most addictive food: Thin Mints. Frozen. I’ve eaten entire BOXES in one sitting before.

Cripes.
