I read a book by Bill Buford. It was titled Among the thugs and was about British soccer hooligans in the 70s. Ro0sh’s description was correct. Somewhere in the book two guys are fighting, one sucks out the others eye, then bites down on the retina/optic nerve, whatever, and spits it out.
Yeah. There’s something… ridiculously cool/ frame shift changing when you’ve cut open someone and are holding their heart in your hands.
Feeling someone’s aorta* is one of the most uniquely Mind blowing things I can say I’ve done, and I’m thankful to the person who donated their body to science so that I could learn from it.
*It feels sorta like very firm and rubbery. You’d expect it to break or tear in your hands, but it just stretches… Very very cool.
