Most memorable dying words in a movie

Agent Johnson to Agent Johnson (“No relation.”) in Die Hard. Good one.

OK, these SHOULD have been this character’s last words. He thought they were but he had now way of knowing the writer/director was going to pull a lame Deus Ex and ruin everything…

“Knew this was one way ticket but you know I had to come. Love you wife.”

“Did I kill that guy… that killed me?”

I know Robot Arm then said this was the Ugly guy.
But didn’t the Good (Clint Eastwood) shoot the hanging rope apart, saving the Ugly guy?
And the end of the film was Clint riding off…

“…Arch Stanton.”

I said it was the right movie, but the wrong character.
Blondie (the good, a relative term in this movie) and Tuco (the ugly) survive at the end of the movie. Angel Eyes (the bad) dies in the three-way shootout, but I don’t remember his last words. My quote is from another character in the movie.

If anyone does know Angel Eyes last words, I’d be interested to find out what they were. There’s an exchange right before the shootout where Clint says if he shoots him he’ll never see a dime oft he money, and Angel Eyes says “Why not?” I think it might be something very mundane like that.
I don’t think it’s in either Clarke’s novel or the movies 2001, but it’s in both the novel and the movie 2010.

One of my favorite buttons from a science fiction convention reads:

"My Stars! It’s full of Dogs!"
---- 2001 Dalmations

Virgil Brigman in The Abyss.

That would be the man from the stagecoach who whispered the treasure’s hiding place to Blondie.
“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, where we could have said … no. Somehow we missed it. Well, we’ll know better next time.”
“Until then …”

Yes.

The full quote would be something like “The unmarked grave next to Arch Stanton.”

But we still don’t have the character’s name.

It’s in the novel… “Thing’s hollow! It goes on forever! And… My god, it’s full of stars!”

Bowman’s entry into the monolith in the book is spelled out much more clearly than the movie…

EZ

Can’t solve any, but here’s one.

“Your reputation far exceeds your skills.”

M Emmet Walsh from Blood Simple ?

Upon further recollection, you are right, it was not Porkins. But you are also wrong - WROONG - it was not Gold Leader, it was Gold Five:

“Gold Five to Red Leader…Lost Tyree, Lost Hutch…”

“I copy, Gold Five.”

“…came…from…behind…”

I may as well clean this one up before Slientgoldfish comes after you. You’ve sort of got two different death scenes in there. “They’re too close!” was the real death scene for Gold Leader:

Gold Leader: “It’s no good I can’t maneuver!”

Gold Five: “Stay on target!”

GL: “They’re too close!”

GF: “Stay on target!”

GL: “Loosen up!” <Boom>
“Wait!” is from Biggs’ death scene:

Biggs: “Hurry up Luke, they’re coming in much faster this time!”

Luke: “R2, try and increase the power!”

Biggs: “Hurry up Luke! Wait…wait!!” <Boom>

Okay, all the ones I know are answered. But here’s one to throw at you:

“More light…”

Also, a question: was there ever a movie where a soldier on the battlefield’s last words are, “I think it’s supposed to rain tomorrow.”
?

Been bugging me forever.

Well done.

Okay, this next one is a giveaway as one of the character’s dying words is his own last name, but I can’t think of any real ones offhand and this line still makes me smile a lot.

“That’s BigbooTAY! TAY! TAY!”

“Until our next merry meeting…in hell.”

Christopher Lloyd, from Buckaroo Banzai.

Salieri, from Amadeus

I don’t have a new one right now but I’ll try to get back.

No, that’s not right, is it? I know I 've seen it somewhere though.

That would be Critical Bill from Things to do in Denver When You’re Dead . How about this one,

“Oh no, not again”

John Hurt, Spaceballs - spoofing his death-by-facehugger scene from the original Alien.
OK, here’s another one:

“Yes. But by tomorrow…I shall be the hero…of the Soviet…Union.”

<i>Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead</i>
