Most well-known songs with the same exact title.

My offering is:
Our House (Madness)
Our House (CSNY)

I actually googled that very question a few months back. My search led me to believe that it’s “Hold On.”

Ramona (Jim Reeves, The Ramones) incl To Ramona (Dylan).
Valerie (Richard Thompston, The Distractions and many others.)

Crazy is the title of songs made famous by, among a bunch of others: Patsy Cline, Aerosmith, Seal, and Gnarls Barkley.

Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
Stairway to Heaven - Neil Sedaka

Off the top of my head:

Heartbreaker (Led Zeppelin, Pat Benatar)
Breakdown (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Alan Parsons Project)

By: Triumph, Ian Gomm, Wilson Phillips, En Vogue, and who knows who else.

Music trivia factoid: The Triumph and Ian Gomm songs were both in the top 40 at the same time in 1979, and the Wilson Phillips and En Vogue tunes a little over a decade later. :o

Two of my favorite bands, R.E.M. and King’s X, had songs titled “Fall On Me” and “(The) Burning Down”. I put “the” in parentheses because it was the title of the King’s X song but not the R.E.M. song.

There’s also “Gloria” by U2, Laura Branigan, and the one that’s been recorded by the Doors, Them, possibly Patti Smith, and - yeah - who knows who else.

Heartbreaker - Dionne Warwick

Rolling Stones don’t count, right?

Drive - The Cars, R.E.M., and Incubus all had US Top 40 hits with this title.

On my phone I have individual songs titled “Stay” by David Bowie, Rhianna, Oingo Boingo, the Temptations, and the Poxy Boggards.

Also, Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs.

Since my taste in music is questionable (and dated) I believe I still have cassette tapes with songs named Cherish by The Association, Kool and the Gang, and Madonna.

Magic - Pilot; The Cars; Olivia Newton-John

That’s a good one in terms of quantity; can anyone beat five?

I think in terms of quality (i.e. popularity) I would have to go with “Just the Way You Are”. Song of the Year 1979 for Billy Joel, then a huge success for that other guy.

checks phone Nope, you’re wrong - I don’t have those.

My wife doesn’t appreciate your pulling on my leg, Ms Ocelot.

I think this should win not only for most well-known, but most opposite artists.

The Lisa Loeb version of ‘Stay’ was a popular song in the 90s and got lots of airtime.

“One” is a huge U2 hit, and is also the name of hits by Ed Sheeran and Metallica.

And “Angel” is the name of popular songs by both Aerosmith and Sarah McLachlan.
