I guess I had successfully suppressed my memories of the Oven Mitt because I opened this thread expecting it to be about “Bad Andy” that weird mascot Dominos had about a year ago. What was he supposed to be? He looked like a hairy turd with arms.

But the OP caused my memories of the Oven Mitt to come flooding back. Aaaargh! The horror!
