Memory very hazy on this one.
Firstly, not D.O.A.
My recall of it- and this is many years ago- is that a person has been diagnosed as terminally ill.
So they hire an assassin (as you would) to kill them within a short period of time.
Then they find out the diagnosis is wrong, and have to convince the hired gun to not go ahead.
I know this is scanty but anyone have an idea?

Thanks for the reply.The Face of Fear does sound extremely likely, but I thought the movie I watched was far older. Then again, I’m probably wrong.
