Movie scene that freaked you out the most?

Hell, it’s been years and I STILL take a bit of a leap when I get into bed!

I saw Looking for Mr. Goodbar when I was way too young to be seeing shit like that, and I hardly remember anything about it, but I DO remember the stabbing scene at the end and the blood splattering up on the stabber (Richard Gere?). God- all I can remember, vividly, is the splatter…

The last scene in Blair Witch Project is the reason I don’t watch horror movies anymore.

And when the sister had to kill the brother in From Dusk Till Dawn, I had to stop watching- something really skeeved me out about that.

This will sound weenie, but the scene with the space vampire’s victims coming back to life in the Buck Rogers 80’s tv series really scared me as a young child. Embarrassing now because of how terrible the makeup was.

There are others, but I’m alone in my shop and I don’t want to think about them.

Two movie scenes come to mind for me:

The final scene in Total Recall when Arnold and female lead fall to the Mars landscape and almost have their heads explode before the atmosphere becomes “human friendly”. When their heads are swollen, eyes bugging out, and strangling. . .it sort of hits my gag reflex. Can’t watch it.

Then there was the unfortunate time (20 years ago) that I watched a HORRIBLE movie, Faces of Death. It was not a movie I picked, but I wasn’t mature enough to leave when I knew that I should. The final scene was of a woman in a snuff film who was killed by being disemboweled. The killer was holding her intestines up in some sort of sick display of achievement. It’s a scene I will never be able to erase from my memory. . .along with when he cut off her finger(s). Don’t know if snuff films are real or not, but this seemed real to me. Terrible.

Fake, if it helps you cope.
