Give up?

Apocalypse Now
The point is to get a set of well-known actors who you did
not know were in a well-known movie together.

I thought of this yesterday when I saw Harry Dean Stanton
in a movie with… Danny Aiello and Dominic Chianese (from the Sopranos). It was Godfather II. I don’t think this is as good as my first question. Can anybody come up with some better ones?

I don’t recall Danny Aiello being in Godfather II.

Hail Ants said: I don’t recall Danny Aiello being in Godfather II.

He was. I thought, as you probably did, that he must have been in 3, if he was in one at all, but it was 2.

Woody Allen and Sylvester Stallone both did voices for Antz. Some critics, and viewers, commented that that was some freaky casting. But in fact, they were in a film together once before. Anyone? Bueller?

That’s a cheap one, though – I’m not sure extras should count.

How about:
Harrison Ford
Gene Hackman
Cindy Williams

The Conversation?

This seems to be turning into a Coppola appreciation thread.

Hail Ants, Aiello played the Rosato brother who tried to garrotte Frank Pentageli in the bar.

One of these I couldn’t come up with a suitable third name, another is a “Cheat” of sorts.

Stallone wasn’t an extra in his scene. He didn’t have lines, but there was no dialogue at all. As a thug, he was an integral part of the scene.

Escape from L.A.

Star Trek III

I’m assuming this is the one you couldn’t find a third name for  (I have no earthly idea what movie this is…)

Loaded Weapon I

This must be the cheat, as it isn’t out yet…
Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes

I’m gonna come clean on the other one, since this is a little-known fact. Harrison Ford’s wife Melissa Matheson wrote “ET”. Ford, for shits and giggles, played the uncredited, seen from waist down school teacher, known as “Keys” for the set of keys on his belt.

I knew if I put Henry Thomas or Dee Wallace, it would be a give-away as to what film, if not the actual character.

Yeah, Heston cameos as Tim Roth’s father in the new “Apes” movie. This is not a blatant plug, but I have a copy of a photo showing him and Roth on my homepage, under the link: “Photos.” If you’re any bit interested in what he looks like as an ape, you can link from my profile.
