Movies with your name in the title. Have you seen them and what did you think?

Ever find or hear of a movie with your name in the title? If so, what did you think of the movie if you’ve seen it?

Take a moment, if you will, to go to the IMDB and search your name if you can’t think of any movies offhand.

Not knowing any movies off the top of my head with my name in it, I did this.

Chris and His Magical Lamp. I doubt I’d like this one very much, nor even be able to find it very easily.
Same with Chris, Not Krishna, Calling.

Nope no uglybeech anywhere on IMDB.

And I’d been so excited by the prospect. :frowning:

The IMDB lists only 8 films with my Real World first name, and the most popular only has 71 votes and isn’t available on video or DVD.

Needless to say, I’d never heard of any of them.

Long version of first name: Zilch.
Short version: One 1918 silent film.
Last name: Cripes, a lot of famous people by that name. But little in the way ot titles.

There are 9 movies on the IMDB with my first name as a title, and a few with my name in the title. One of them stars Joan Collins!!

The most famous one with a variation of my name is a porn film, and when I searched I found Belgium porn and one squeaky clean autobiographical film. I’ve not seen either, and neither appeals. Oh, and one film appears to be an educational film. Such range!

Heathers is enough to make me want to quit while I’m ahead.

Nope, I’ve never seen Nightwatch.

Never seen Saving Private Ryan, either.

Well, if I go by “David,” there are 14 title matches. The only one I’ve even seen part of is the tv movie about the biblical King David. “Dave” only gets one hit: the Kevin Kline movie. I’ve seen it. It’s not bad.

The only one with my real-life name is a 1963 French movie with the English translation of “Anatomy of a Marriage”.

Abosolutely nothing with “Sublight” in the title, although there’s an approximate match called “Bill’s Blighted Career”. Putting a space in the middle brought up the title “Devce z predmestí anebo Vsecko prijde na jevo” which apparently translates as “Suburbian Girl or Everything Comes to Light”.

**Aesiron **is a word I made up so nothing there but *John Q *and Being John Malkovich are two well known movies with my first name in it.

I go by my middle name though and it isn’t popular for movies despite being pretty common.

C’est la vie.

Not surprisingly:

“Jennifer” returns 6 exact matches; 38 partial matches.
“Jenny” returns 13 exact matches; 71 partial matches.
“Misnomer” returns 0 matches.

I’ve never seen any of them – not even Jennifer Eight, the only one I’d heard of – but I have seen the movie I was named after: Portrait of Jennie (they spell it wrong ;)). It’s a good movie, and I just got the DVD for my mom for Christmas.

Well my name came back with too many matches.

But I’ll just state that my wife wanted to see Kill Bill so she could get some ideas.

This movie’s alternate title (Holly) is my name…it’s one of three listings on the IMDB, and it’s still in production, so I haven’t seen it. Also, since it was written by Britney Spears and her mother, it’s highly likely I’ll never, ever, ever see it.

(The other listings are a TV show from the 1970’s that I’ve never heard of, and a movie that is still in production, so there’s very little information on it).

Let’s see. There’s a short film that matches my name, but I’d never heard of it before now.

There are also several career retrospectives of Chuck Jones among the 31 films that match, but I’ve never seen any of them.

I’m not counting “Chucky” for obvious reasons. :smack:

Ken Russell’s Tommy was…a mixed bag.

But I’ll take it over Tommy Boy .

I’m still waiting for the film adaptation of Larry’s Party.

As for extant works, Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry is just fine with me, and Seth McFarlane’s The Life of Larry is a kick-ass short film.

I’m really glad that nobody remembers that thing that Maclean Stevenson did after MASH*.

Quer Tapioca com Manteiga, Freguesa?

Awaiting five votes. Typical :frowning:

IRL first name Colin

Guess what? Awaiting five votes

And to wrap up: IRL last name Joe Wilkinson

Any guesses as to a vote count? Yes, you guessed it.

Well, mine has over 550 matches… Of course I haven’t seen them all, but I had seen the first one that came to mind (“What About Bob?”)

The only film that uses my first name exactly is an Australian movie in pre-production.

41 titles use it in some form. Most of them are television programs, and I don’t remember seeing any of them.
