These three movies are quoted by my friends constantly, and by people of my generation (18 to 21) in general…and I have NEVER seen them. Even though I am a cinephile leaning towards a future career in film and have seen a seemingly unending library of movies, I still haven’t watched those three, and references to them fly right over my head every day.
Other movies I haven’t seen that everyone I know has: Clerks, Dead Presidents, and Trainspotting.
Incidentally I only saw Pulp Fiction for the first time last winter, and Reservoir Dogs as well (despite having had a poster of Mr. White in my room [that my dad got me] for about 2 years prior.) I’ve never seen From Dusk Till Dawn, and attempted to watch Jackie Brown once but was too high to remember it.
I’m sure SOME of you others here have some movies that are like that for you. If there are any, here’s the place to share.
In addition to not seeing either of these, I have not seen any of the Matrix movies, any of the Lord of the Ring movies, nor have I seen any of the Star Wars movies.
I haven’t seen those either but I’ve seen Austin Powers and Spinal Tap.
I’ve never seen Kill Bill vol 1 or 2, or the 2nd or 3rd Matrix movies. Oh I never saw Jerry McGuire and that seems to be something most people my age saw (I’m 33.)
I’ve seen maybe 5 minutes of this movie (in passing). I really don’t want to start doing LSD just for one movie. The movie has exactly zero appeal to me.
I would like to try that Dark Side of the Moon synchronization thing, though.
Let’s see…of the ones already mentioned, I have not seen:
Any Star Trek movie The Wizard of Oz
Jerry Maguire
Kill Bill Vol. 2
Matrix Reloaded
Matrix Revolutions
Psycho
American Graffiti
Casablanca
Titanic
Austin Powers
The Big Lebowski
Half-Baked
Dead Presidents
Trainspotting
Clerks (I started watching it, but it was so terrible I turned it off)
Also… Gone With the Wind
The Shawshank Redemption
Dumb and Dumber
The Godfather (any of them) To Kill A Mockingbird
Starship Troopers
And probably a hundred more that I can’t think of offhand.
