Mozilla Thunderbird Help

I started using Mozilla Thunderbird (3.0.4) for email and I’m having a hard time changing the setting on some behavior that is driving me nuts.

When I recieve an email and hit “Reply” the reply email positions the previous email at the very top and positions my cursor for typing my reply at the very bottom of the email chain. I have to Page Up to the top, re-position my curser, hit return a couple times to open space and then type my reply.

I cannot find a Reply configuration setting under Options to change this behavior. I like what I’ve seen so far with Thunderbird but I’m .02 seconds away from dumping it over this one behavior.

Help?

Here’s where it is at:

tools - account settings - composition & addressing

There is an option next to the 2nd checkbox that chooses where your reply goes in relation to what you quoted.

Aaaahhh, I never thought to check Account Settings as I assumed that was pop/smtp server configuration, etc. Thank you so much!

I believe all those options used to be together before Thunderbird 3.x but now they have separated them.

glad to help…
