I agree with the need to rename the forum.
But gee whiz…nobody listened to me when I suggested doing it last year.

But I do admit that keeping the full, original 6-letter abbreviation is a better idea than my shorter version.

LOL, if it makes you feel any better, they didn’t do it when I suggested it (rather naively) when I was a brand new mod, either. :wink: I do have a better appreciation now for the emotional attachment some long-timers on the board have to the old name now, but I agree it’s time to make the change.

I had a friend who we all called MPS. It was short for Mister Peter Sims. AKA MPSims.

Just thought I would add something mundane and pointless to this thread, as tribute to its name change.

Inclusive “or” is the only kind English recognizes. Menus (“soup or salad”) and Math are not routine English.

You can choose a soup or salad as course. The section of the menu from where you can make the choice is called Soups and Salads.

So MAPSIMS, MOPOBSIMS, and MOPBNBSIMS. Or should that be MAPSIMS, MOPOBSIMS, or MOPBNBSIMS.

We’re not doing formal subfora at least at this time. I don’t think we ever would bother.
